I’m so so sorry to be this guy but, Emotional eliminations in shows aren’t really a trend, its just two characters who are close friends are just having their moment becuase the other is out if the game
issue is that like, unless the character is dying (like in the first clip) then it just doesn't make sense, these objects are crying about losing a GAME, a competition, that's my main issue with emotional eliminations
