They built the bridge back when they thought the Minsk agreements would be honored. They thought they wouldn't control the land route to Crimea. But it didn't work out, so now they control all of the land routes to Crimea and they have a useless bridge that is only lightly used.
Russia will indeed lose.
Well, hopefully, question is how it will look like. [ We could have won this already 2X, provided that the Western politicians have back bones.]

Russia itself already out produces NATO countries in artillery shells allowing them to back fill their own ammunition depots which they have hundreds of, the shells from North Korea allow Russia to maintain at least a 7 to 1 advantage in artillery on the frontlines.
