Respected doctors sahab, I would like to add one point here. In allopathy, medicines have two names: generic names and brand names. Generic name of a medicine is same across the world because it was given by the scientific community, but there are thousands of brand names of a medicine in different countries, because brand names are given by manufacturing companies. And so their prices are also different. Doctors are requested to prescribe the brand name that is cheapest in the market. I would like to give my example here. Nearly 20 years ago, I had high blood pressure and I went to an MBBS doctor. He prescribed me the tablet (amlodipine + atenolol). I do not remember the brand name. The price was 75 rupees of 10 tablets. I searched the internet and found another brand name (Amlopres at) of amlodipine + atenolol, which was 75 rupees of 15 tablets. Because medicine for high blood pressure is taken throughout life, it will be better for poor patients if doctors prescribe cheaper brand names of same generic name. For this purpose, doctors may need to look up the internet. Jazakallahu khair. May Allah grant you peace, progress and prosperity in this world, in alam-e-barjakh and on Judgement Day. Aameen.
I agree but efficacy of medicine is different among companies of same medicine.

Kehne ko ye choti choti si baaten ha but it is so important...active listening is soo important .... now a days empathetic doctors are rare.. a patient is trusting on a certain doctor for his health and in return, he is not listening to him properly, prescribing a list of medicines in which some are not even required.. i think, this erhical conduct training is so important for doctors because although they take oath on the very first day in college yet in practical life, they totally forget about that.. if Allah has given you a status, be humble and respect your profession ..you are accountable in front of Allah..
Earn halal income rather than haraam.
