I agree . We should investigate and regulate any mechanical device that causes needless deaths. A lot of regulations have made cars safer. Age requirements, licensing and vehicle registration of owners, driver testing, insurance requirements, vehicle inspections, speed limits, sobriety tests at checkpoints with possible loss of license, noise, emissions, and many other regulations that have had positive effects. Some of these things could be applied to other products as well. Many of these regulations preclude anyone walking into a store and legally driving away. Some may try, but vehicle safety is a primary focus of law enforcement and it's unlikely they'll get away with it for long. So yes, let's toughen up rules and regulations to protect ourselves from all dangerous goods.

Let me set the scene: Police set a barricade (to prevent people and or vehicles from entering the area) A Christmas parade happens peacefully A vehicle rams the barricade A Vehicle then runs over individuals (participating in the parade) Multiple injuries and potential deaths happen Police fire multiple shots at vehicle If I have not set the scene properly, correct me. Now, the weapon here was a SUV (Car). It was piloted by a Human. This Human willfully and purposely ran a barricade (with the criminal intention of harming other human beings). Why is not the news ablaze and reporting the murders and injuries? Because an SUV does not fit the narrative of "weapon". A SUV is not a "weapon" that the Left wants to "paint" as "a lethal weapon to be registered (it is), licensed (it is), insured (it is), etc... The Left does not want cars treated like firearms. I blame the Wisconsin legal system for letting this guy out on the streets. They gave him far too many chances to repeatedly hurt people and now innocent people, children pay the ultimate price. Sad.

Let the authorities handle that. Focus on them. Why would the police mentioned the words used by a suspect when arrested. There is something called court, lawyers & technicality who can use the improper leaking of evidence card, to get his client off by forcing the judge to throw out the case.

An SUV didn't plow through a parade. Someone plowed their SUV through a crowd. I was really hoping that it was an accident but it sounds more like total disregard for human life.

Police set a barricade (to prevent people and or vehicles from entering the area)
A Christmas parade happens peacefully
A vehicle rams the barricade
A Vehicle then runs over individuals (participating in the parade)
Multiple injuries and potential deaths happen
Police fire multiple shots at vehicle
If I have not set the scene properly, correct me.
Now, the weapon here was a SUV (Car). It was piloted by a Human. This Human willfully and purposely ran a barricade (with the criminal intention of harming other human beings).
Why is not the news ablaze and reporting the murders and injuries?
Because an SUV does not fit the narrative of "weapon". A SUV is not a "weapon" that the Left wants to "paint" as "a lethal weapon to be registered (it is), licensed (it is), insured (it is), etc...
The Left does not want cars treated like firearms. That would destroy their "gun argument" totally and absolutely.
