This deserves more views. Really great ideas, I'm going to scoop up a cheap skeleton on November 1st!

I would suggest with this type of terrain, along with the spackle layer, you also go in with sand before painting. It tends to work well for also blending in parts you want to look buried into the terrain.
I've been, slowly, working on a giants graveyard set for my table for a few years now with more smaller pieces, though smaller because they're from some of the dollar tree options that aren't from "life sized" skeleton parts...I'd been afraid of going with them because I'd thought they might look a bit to oversized for normal terrain, reconsidering now for some of them.
Best things I've found were some harder plastic long bones that were intended as party favors that can be jumbled up and cut for angles in order to make continuous barriers.
I've also been working on a single giants grave using the dollar tree skeleton garland, just using one of the skeletons and cutting a bit to flatten it and have a partially excavated burial that works for both part of the larger set and as an objective piece for other places.
I keep wanting to have a few for something based off of an old fantasy art piece with a giant forest growing up through various giant skeletons.
Anyway, just set Spooky, Scary Skeletons on repeat and go to work...

That's definitely another step you could do. Also, your project sounds really cool. Feel free to tag us on Instagram so we can follow your build.

Great build! Bonus points for referencing The Lion King (that scene is exactly what I was thinking of right as you said it XD).

Thanks! I knew from the start I had to incorporate the idea somewhere lol.
