Ascend has crazy amazing avionics for the price. I think this is a new engine as well. Commercial travel in the USA is radically changing to point to point now as shown by the crazy success of the Airbus A220 and airline wunderkind David Neelman. Just speculating but from what I have read far less dwell time on the tarmac, able to handle safely tough weather conditions and longer duration between maintenance schedules. By way of specific example let's say you want to fly out of Youngstown Ohio which currently has no commercial carrier. There will be customers who prefer that as their type of Airport to fly out of as opposed to Pittsburgh and Cleveland and will drive from either of these two Cities just to avoid commercial carriers and all of the bs related to that. As far as "single pilot" if you have a flight qualified flight attendant vastly superior customer service without the 3rd employee. Can charge premium pricing for that. If Netjets gets a big discount huge win for Netjets. In the alternative look as how near bankrupt JetBlue is right now. As far as Pilots creating that deep a bench of pilots is another jab at the likes of Jet Blue which again looks on deaths door at the moment.

Eclipse has sold two Jets this Year and is still in business miracle of miracles is the other news I've seen noted. Cirrus still chugging away. Speaking of the car business HondaJet continues to push their Very Light Jet as well...all three taken together dirupting the Industry exclusive of Citation, Embraer, Gulfstream, Falcon and an entirely new Airline in Breeze Airlines. Long story short already a massive glut of new aircraft given plunging real estate market globally plus in USA now too let alone used plus fuel prices starting to plunge.

What you seem to forget is that NetJets Europe operates C56X airframes today. Maybe it's about fleet harmonization between the two sides of the pond ?
