- I revisited this unique steamship that was built in 1907 in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. She travelled from Port McNicol to Fort William, which is now the City of Thunder Bay, Ontario. She was retired in 1967 and she was sold and moved to Saugatuck in Michigan. In 2012, she was sold to Skyline and she moved back to Port McNicol the same year and she continues as a museum ship since the late 1960s.

You folks did a great job keeping her in great shape and providing very informative tours. Thank you.
Wonderful ship, kept in good , original condition... so glad that thhis has been saved & preserved as a museum...
i saw her in the '90s and although in fantastic condition, much was original, such as the wood paneling and trim, and layers and layers of paint elsewhere. It was starting to show distress in the varnish and there was some general wear consistent with nearly 90 years of passengers and tours. There's obviously been some restoration and it looks just great.
Looks great from the time I was on her in Douglas
Wow fantastic ship wish we had something similar jealous from the UK lol
Can't believe they maintain the engine! Very nice!!!
Friend had a yacht docked 80 feet in front of her....enjoyed many adult beverages in the shadow of her bow when R.J. owned her. Sister ship to Asinaboia.
What I wouldn't give to see that engine in operation!
Too bad the video was cut off when he was talking about the furnishings (and other edits without regard to the narration in the background). I'd like to know how much of it was original.
Enjoyable viewing, thank you.
Port McNicoll to Port Arthur .... I travelled on her sister SS Assiniboia three trips.
Recorded horizontally:)
Phones have ruined video.
@@wintersbattleofbands1144LOL so many people these days don't turn their phone sideways to get that natural perspective:)
Irks me that everything has to be compared to "the" Titanic. All that ship ever learned to do was sink. This one has its own merits and history, and that should be good enough.
The Olympic was the impressive one of the class. It served people for a long time and survived 2 major collisions and didn't sink, yet titanic is the famous one for some reason.
see that things didn't work out in Port McNichol and she has been moved to Kingston, ON. Too bad for Port MdNichol, Kingston's gain.
Love the Keewatin, toured it numerous times when it resided in Douglas, MI. Can't say I loved this chopped up video though. sorry.
