    Hi when I bearing from compass to on chart do I need coulculate da vision varision to on chart get true bearing thanks

      Yes you need to convert from magnetic to true to put on the chart, all workings on the chart should be in true.

    Hello. You are using center of compass rose as a waypoint on the chart. But how to find waypoint "center of compass rose" in real sea? Sorry, I didn't understand, how compass rose can help us to find our position in this example

      You put the centre of the compass rose as a waypoint and then you can plot your position easier than a Lat Long, make sure you use the reciprocal and the distance.

      @@CitySailing Thank you. Means the center of the rose on paper chart can be useful, if I can sail to this waypoint in the sea? If I cannot sail to the center of the rose, then it not useful for my real navigation?

      @@post5428 The idea is not to sail the the waypoint but use it as a point of reference so you can find your position easily.

      Thank you for the response. Sorry, still not understanding. For example, I know the Lat and Long of the center of rose. How it helps me find my position if I cannot see this waypoint in the sea? No visible marks in the sea, that is the center of rose
