Thanks for reviewing this, when I first heard this in the early 80s I was blown away by Chaka's version, the way she hit those notes! I said this is Chaka's song now 😆.

Listen to "Little Boy Blue" by Chaka/Rufus. Of all the dozens of brilliant Rufus songs/recordings, this for me is their most sublime, and Chaka never sounded better. ❤

@@J.Fro90 This is my favourite Rufus song bar none. I absolutely adore it. I particularly love the moment after the inspired instrumental break/crescendo, when the music falls away and Chaka's utterly sublime vocal re-enters - she has truly NEVER sounded more beautiful than in that monent. It is a "holy" moment - utterly majestic/heavenly beyond the scope of words to convey.
You might also want to listen to the brilliant Deniece Williams sing the exquisite and perfect "Touch Me Again" (1979). It is stunningly beautiful song/recording song (self-penned by Niecy) with a masterclass vocal which only a fool would try and cover. This song sooooooooooooooooooooo deserves a reaction video; it has been criminally overlooked. Why not be the first to respond to it? A truly sacred invitation ❤
I think it’s better than the original by the Jackson 5. Sad to say the single flopped on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. I have this on 45. Remember them? Never heard this live version.
