I randomly came across this video and I’m like no way this is an actual thing?!!??!! Did the exercise and immediately saw results. Brother, I'm coming back to your video because I just remembered that I did your exercises three days ago. I'm praying for you. I wish you the best life possible, both on this planet and afterward in paradise, for you and your family. For the past 8-9 years, I've had a frozen shoulder on my left side and a misaligned rib on my right side. That started when I was 25. Now I'm 34. I did your exercise for the ribs, and after several attempts, my rib moved back into the right position-first 90%, then 100%. Automatically, my frozen shoulder also disappeared. It pulled hard everywhere, but in the end, everything was free! Thank you so much.

    Holy crap, I honestly am really skeptical of shit like this. I'm a really big muscular dude and have definite rib flare which makes my pecs look smaller than they are. I just tried this exercise (which was surprisingly difficult because of my body type). I went and looked in the mirror after doing this for about 4 minutes and could visibly see that my ribs changed position. My back feels way more lose as well. Good shit man.

    As I practice yoga, the child pose is very easy and comfy for me by just relaxing the rib cages on the thighs, sitting bottoms on heels and arms straight forward resting on floor. But my left rib cage flare never was corrected. I mean some body issues have to be coping attentively, purposefully of course. Appreciate all of these exercises.

    I'm now 3 months into doing all these PRI expansion exercises. The ONLY time I can breathe normally and feel a true "360 breath" **without forcing it** is when I've done a TON of side ab and transverse ab work under HEAVY load. Think Farmer's Carries with heavy weights, dead bugs, planks, etc. If I hammer those muscles then later in the day there is enough resting tone to counteract the lower to upper back tightness. Just doing expansion exercises is a very temporary gain and certainly every single morning I'm back to square one since I sleep on my back and that means nothing but anterior expansion for 8 hours.
    My point is that subtle expansion exercises are the right direction but not the correct intensity in my 3 months' experience. I'll be confirming with my PRI trainer soon but I don't see any way forward except to just blast the side abs and transverse abs until they are built up sufficiently to counteract the much bigger back muscles.

    • @zaynmalice7106
      @zaynmalice7106 Год назад +3

      I've noticed similar to this. It's strange then, that PRI are so adamantly against loading/insist on very gentle "techniques" as opposed to exercises (with load).

    • @grumpyguss
      @grumpyguss Год назад

      @@zaynmalice7106 Conor has a few more loaded things here and there but really nowhere near enough to call it a true hypertrophy or strength workout. Plus it's not set in a larger framework of a hypertrophic program. Weird that they don't make that leap. I'd buy that program from Conor but won't buy his existing ones because they're rehab/PT focused not muscle building.

      @BenediktBast Год назад +1

      Interesting, for me the PRI exercises, especially the basic 4 for L AIC work great, but to make it „stick“ I need heavy load for the obliques too, and exercises with slow reps and double compression breathing!

    • @BrianAnother
      @BrianAnother Год назад

      Thanks for this comment. This is what I've been wondering lately. My main problem is low back (QL possibly) tightness when I try to sleep. I think I'm getting the proper feeling of breathing during PRI exercises, but it's not enough to relax my back.
      Right now I'm trying to pay attention to breathing and posture when I think about it throughout the day as well as doing a lot of ab work. I've found side bends from a back extension bench make me very sore from my QL all the way to my abs, so I'm hopeful that will help.

    I’ve always had flared ribs & a small indent in the middle of my chest I don’t do a lot of physical activity & I weigh about 135 pounds. Idk if the lack of physical activity throughout my life has caused the rib flaring but I’m 25 now & I want to take action & become confident with my shirt off. It’s not a crazy rib flair but just enough that you can see it & I feel like it also makes me look skinnier than I really am.

    This is the second video on rib flare (or third when you count the one on uneven rib flare). Are these exercises supposed to be better than the one on the previous video or are there situations where the "old one" is still recommended?

  • @andrewyancy8639
    @andrewyancy8639 Год назад +20

    Maybe I don't understand who these types of exercises are appropriate for, but what do you mean by seeing immediate results? Could you post before/after pictures of someone with obvious rib flare to demonstrate what you mean? Personally, I tried the exercises, and although they are relaxing, there were no noticeable changes to my rib flare.
    In any case, how are a brief series of light breathing exercises supposed to counteract a persistent deformity of the ribcage? Isn't any permanent non-surgical fix (if one is even possible at all) going to be a matter of greatly improving strength and flexibility in the core and postural muscles?

    • @Hiusku
      @Hiusku Год назад +1

      You know, I tried simillar exerciese but with small ball not a pillow. And it didn't work. When I talk with physiotherapist he told me that you won't fix this type of deformity when you are old enough. Kids have... less dense bones (don't know how to explain this) and this might work... but for a full grown man, with much more dense / harder bones, not a chance. Training your back, abs and chest can help with rib flare becouse muscles will "pull" your bones so it might not be that visible... but other than surgery, you won't fix rib flare.

However, should I do these exercises everyday and are they going to fix my ribflare in the long term or just in the short term.
