In series typeR2 resistance is low and current chooses low resistance path but that current cannot be measured in ammeter asammeter as it has high resistance then how will u measure current
Ohm meter method is used for medium resistance measurement & mega ohm bridge are use for high resistance measurement... They are different to each other .....both videos are available you need to check playlist "RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT"

I mean to say series mai current limiting resistance fixed hai pr shunt mai variable q hai
Parallel resistance is used for extension of ammeter range.
If we use series resistance with voltmeter it's used for voltmeter range extension
