    How many hours were you guys actually shooting there? Any concern with the Aputure MC units running off batteries in the practicals? Were the windows in the background clear glass? They look "frosted" - is that just the ultrabounce seen from the inside?

    • @meetthegaffer
      @meetthegaffer  2 года назад +1

      We had multiple MC’s and swapped them out as needed.

      It was a 10 hr day… maybe a little OT, but not much.

    Awesome stuff! Just a question about the 300d on the fresnel, why did you run that through a net? Can't you just dim it down? or does the net also change the quality/pattern of the light?

    • @meetthegaffer
      @meetthegaffer  2 года назад +2

      Good question! I think that single turned into a silk, but sometimes you’re just trying to take down a partial section of the beam.

    So the banks of windows we see were inherently diffused or was diffusion applied between the white bounce? Diffusion on lens?

    • @meetthegaffer
      @meetthegaffer  2 года назад

      No diffusion was used. You’re just seeing a blown out window in the form of a lit ultra bounce.

    Just curious, could that boomed soft box be similar using an Aladdin 3x3?
    Ahhh, just saw the very end. It was also green screening so that'd be a no on the Aladdin

    • @meetthegaffer
      @meetthegaffer  2 года назад +3

      The Aladdin could have worked, but the lantern aspect was probably the more important part than the actual unit inside. The fact that the F22c fits so perfectly was a nice bonus😀

      I believe it’s the medium sized pancake lantern from Chimera:
