In most cases, outside of the fact they were *pulled out of their natural habitat and kept in captivity* the animals were treated very well.
It is the captivity part that is a problem.
If aliens were to take you from your home, bring you to planet Malmac and put you in a large glass enclosure for the other aliens to see - no matter how much steak and lobster they feed you, or how nicely you were treated, things might not go so well if you happen to get your hands on one of their blasters; because you want HOME.

@@jortm4075 What is terrifying is the more we learn about them the more we learn how intelligent they are--perhaps in a way that is unknown to us as a lot of our concepts of intelligence revolve around our hands at some point or another. Orcas have very complex social lives and development. Whales in captivity also have so many issues because they are all from different pods--it's like if you confined people from 10 different countries onto one island and expected them not to fight or lash out...they can't even talk to each other properly. Sure their language doesn't follow our linguistic patterns but they clearly are sophisticated enough to be unintelligible to orcas from far off pods. In the ocean this tends to take care of itself but there's no space to be had in a pool....
When they are not being held captive they seem to have a mutual curiosity / respect of life towards us which really IMO points to how intelligent they are. Something that is utterly terrifying and capable of mass bloodshed like us, an apex of their domain, and we fucking put it in a cage. They just commit petty propery damage against us when in amicable conditions lol. Honestly we shouldn't let any of the captive whales back because they're gonna snitch and the whales will go defcon 3 on us

There is no record of an orca ever killing a human in the wild. This is because humans are not part of their natural diet. Occasionally, an orca may mistake a human for something they do eat, such as a seal. In 2017, an orca was caught on camera charging at a surfer during the Lofoten Masters surfing competition in Norway. The orca seemed to pull out of the attack just before making contact. The Norwegian Orca Survey said in a Facebook post that the orca likely realized the surfer was not a seal at the very last second.
In 2005, a 12-year-old boy was "bumped" by a killer whale near Ketchikan, Alaska, in what may have been an aborted attack - similar to the surfer in Norway - or simply curiosity on behalf of the orca, according to the Associated Press, via The Seattle Times. The Associated Press reported that a surfer was bitten in California in the early 1970s, which is the only relatively well-documented case of a wild orca actually biting a human. Orcas in captivity, however, have attacked and killed people.

It is harsh, and ignorant of the reality.
You're heart is in the right place, so I can't fault you for that - but what you are missing is the fact that it isn't the trainers fault whatsoever. It is the fault of these organizations/companies (Seaworld, Pacifica [not sure if that is the name, but you get the picture], etc) who would pull these animals out of their natural habitat, *train* the trainers, and put on these shows for money.
The trainers were just doing what they thought was a beautiful thing and what they were hired to do; interacting with and working with magnificent creatures.
Do you honestly think that when Seaworld advertised a job position they said "Come and take your chance to help dominate a wild animal, and use it for money!!".
No, they said things like "Love the Ocean? Come and be a part of a wonderful marine adventure!", or

Orcas are wild because captive breeding is difficult. But entertainment venues and roadside zoos shouldn't be lumped in with professional city zoos. They are not equal.
The animals in AZA accredited zoos, like city zoos, are all raised in capitivity and belong to careful breeding programs and cannot be released into the wild. When you see a report on the news about an animal being sent from or too another credited zoo, that is most likely for a breeding program, and you can expect babies soon.
There are also animals you don't see because they are stressed and can't handle a public environment. These zoos also take in rescues from illegal pet trades and the black market to rehab them either back into the environment or to a refuge. These zoos also now staff professionals who make sure their environments are as organic as possible and to make sure the animals have enrichments to prevent stress and boredom.
One of the oldest zoos in the US, the Baltimore Zoo, deliberately keeps some of their original bear cages on display so people can see how far zoos have progressed.

I agree that humans are causing unnecessary stress and anxiety to these animals, but Orcas are not peaceful animals. They are violent by nature. In the wild they group up to stalk, maim, and kill young dolphin and other marine animals SOLELY for fun, then leave the uneaten carcass to rot. They are one of the few animals on the planet who actually kill for social pleasure. That said, an orca has never killed a human in the wild, as far as we know.
The difference between us and them is that they do what they do in the wild because of animal instinct... Whereas we have the ability to learn and comprehend that it's wrong to torture creatures for our own pleasure. And yet, here we are holding these amazing creatures captive. SeaWorld needs to be done.

That doesn't mean that I don't have a measure of compassion for those who got hurt or died. They need to get other jobs, plain and simple and the Orcas need to be freed.
And since they ARE super intelligent animals, perhaps they only tried to reverse the roles they must play for humans as in 'let's see what happens when we keep you under water for a while' and play with you, just as you want us to constantly jump out into 'your' environment so a sensation-loving public gets their kicks.

All seemed to have originated from ond location San Diego, it's very curious that all the whales who have been featured on this have originally been there & the two other locations- Spain & Orlando had orcas that had been transferred to them 🤔
You wonder did the first attack happen after they purchased the Orca who was responsible for the most deaths, the male they used for breeding?? Did the attacks happen after they bought him from the individual park that had to close due to him attacking a trainer?
He was a large male, I think the largest whale they had, was it his aggression & behaviour that other orcas started copying 🤔 he seems to be linked in a way to each other whale? Did his influence & domination rub off on some of the whales he was around??? It's just very strange that each whale seems to have a tie to San Diego..... were they transferring orcas that were displaying similar behaviours as his, in hope it would stop it escalating but instead resulted in more attacks???
Regardless it sounds like these poor whales who were born to travel thousands of miles, all over the globe free.... have been driven mad by being confined to a tiny pool.
Think of during covid & lockdown when everyone was convinced to there homes & wasn't able to leave & imagine if that was permanent & for the rest of your life you couldn't leave & only contact was whoever lived with you, everyone getting on top of each other in a tiny space day after day, we all experienced that for a short period, imagine years & years of it & how crazy that would drive you!!!!
