- After a cancelled junior race day the sun finally came out in time for Elite mens final and the racing was epic as it always is at a French World Cup, Wyn hits the pits to get the full run down!

You may want to consider switching to a dynamic microphone for your interviews. Lavs are designed be extremely sensitive and the pickup pattern is omnidirectional. This is why your signal is hot, slightly distorted when you hold it so close to the source and picks up lots of background noise. Nevertheless great interviews. I look forward to them every race weekend.
Totally agree! Love Wyn but he’s gotta update the audio equipment. Especially so he can continue to interview half drunk racers and screaming fans. ❤

And she was relaxed, and even funny, when interviewed. Big change from last season. Some of that is Wyn's personality and rapport with these fellow racers, which is the very best thing about Wyn's post-race interviews.

Nina is so easy to root for.
She seems to have an interesting balance of fierce determination, and ability to laugh at herself. Those two traits are not often together in a person. It's one thing to go from BMX or other cycling disciplines to DH. Or alpine ski racer to MTB DH racer, another logical transition. Entirely another to be a javelin thrower and decide, "hey I'd like to race bikes." And then crush it.
UCI may have some hiccups with the races, but as long as we get Wyn TV and Cathro - I am still in. What other sport has such good unofficial coverage?

I think you'd have to be pretty strong to ride in that squared, balanced position as consistently as he does. Look at the alpine ski racing speed disciplines, very few spindly athletes there. Cyclists also need upper body strength for compression, etc, stability at the fastest DH levels.
I had some goggles like that as a kid. They almost sucked your eyeballs out of your skull 😂💀

Top riders can make a bike work, but anyone who's ridden half-seriously will have to say there are bikes that work for a given rider, and those that sort of work. Those that "work" are intuitive and those that "sort of work" require a lot of adaptation. It's a testament to the athleticism of riders like Thirion that they can make a "sort of work" bike do as well as they do.
without Wyn TV DH would be much less exciting... especially when the braodcast is kind a lame
