One of the few "godly" songs ever made. What a rippin effin classic. Could jam and dance to this (60 years old and I CANNOT keep still when this plays) on repeat for the rest of my life.
Me too man, I'm 34 years old and to me it's the rock 'n' roll hym. In real, high voltage album have three life songs ever to me, rock n roll singer, live wire and of course it's a long way.
Welcome to the 70's man. Well, they certainly did make it to the top. I remember when this song came out. The original and ALWAYS the best. RIP BONN hunn xx
I was there when they did this, as a 16 year old it made my year. They did it twice on the back of the truck and then they did it again in the old city square. Loved them then, still love them
When this song was made, bag pipes became CAF. Sadly I cannot think of another rock song that is this bad ass and with bag pipes. As for song suggestions, "Thunderstruck", "Who made who", "Do it for the money". Also, please give "Time has come today" and "Can't turn you loose" by the Chambers Brothers a chance, you won't regret it.
And boy did they ever make it to the top! Best rock band in the world! 68 yrs old here and still rocking out to their music and will be til the end! Love them! RIP Bon and Mal!

@@markjfoletti3155 I'm pretty sure he just learnt that song. He didn't know how to play when they wrote the song. He bought the bagpipes at great expense and was told it would take years to learn them so he got a few lessons from the guys in the flatbed truck video to see him through. He was a drummer in the pipe band he was in as a kid.
Your reactions are priceless! Bag pipes and rock and roll, so blessed going to college in the 70's and hearing them everyday, everywhere. Merry Christmas from Michigan!
Devin the year I started listening these guys my friend Tim turned me on to him it was 1979 they became one of my favorite bands immediately the next year bon Scott died it's hard to believe it's been 42 years there's a great documentary on RUclips that just came out 2 months ago about the whole band and his brother and some bandmates are on it it's fabulous.

A lot of us Aussies will sing, "It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll"! They filmed this clip on the back of a truck through the streets of Melbourne. My favourite AC/DC song though is Jailbreak with Bon on lead vocals.
Haha Loved your reaction probably my reaction the 1st time I actually heard this song back in the seventies It's really fun for a guy that's 62 years old who's heard these songs thousands of times see somebody hear them for the 1st time it definitely makes your heart jump I definitely grew up in the greatest era of music sixties and seventies and yes definitely the greatest bagpipe solo in rock and roll history lol great reaction brother keep spreading the music around You must try some bad company seagull or bad company bad company or silver blue and gold you won't go wrong burning sky would love to see you react to some bad company God-bless

Hi Stephanie, I'm from Scotland myself, and absolutely love AC /DC, did you know that Angus and Malcolm Young were born in Glasgow, and Bon Scott was born in Forfar, when Let There be Rock came out, Angus was only 22 years old!! 😀 😀 Angus Young, March 31st 1955 Brian Johnson October 6th 1947 Cliff Williams December 14th 1949 Phil Rudd May 19th 1954 Stevie Young December 11th 1956 Malcolm Young January 28th 1953 - November 18th 2017 RIP 🙏🙏 Bon Scott July 9th 1946 - February 19th 1980 RIP 🙏🙏
This song ain't lying. I was in a band in high school. We where pretty known in the Minneapolis metal community. I was lead guitar and my drummer and I started the band. We couldn't handle the grind, we imploded cause we all had the Rockstar mentality without the Rockstar success.

Hi Devin, this from their 1975 album High Voltage, the video was filmed in Melbourne, Australia, and indeed it is Bon Scott on vocals, he was born in Scotland, as was Angus and Malcolm Young, Angus is the one in the schoolboy outfit, it was Bon playing the bagpipes, they were formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1973 by Scottish born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young!! 😀 😀
Been a big fan of ACDC since the 70s. This was with the original singer Bon Scott who unfortunately died in 1980. That is when Brian Johnson took over as the lead singer. It was actually Bon Scott himself who picked Brian Johnson to replace him as lead singer when he died, as he had heard Brian Johnson sing in a bar, and told the rest of the band members, that's who I want to replace me when I die, and obviously Brian Johnson did.
