    One of the few "godly" songs ever made. What a rippin effin classic. Could jam and dance to this (60 years old and I CANNOT keep still when this plays) on repeat for the rest of my life.

      Me too man, I'm 34 years old and to me it's the rock 'n' roll hym. In real, high voltage album have three life songs ever to me, rock n roll singer, live wire and of course it's a long way.

    I was there when they did this, as a 16 year old it made my year. They did it twice on the back of the truck and then they did it again in the old city square. Loved them then, still love them

    When this song was made, bag pipes became CAF. Sadly I cannot think of another rock song that is this bad ass and with bag pipes. As for song suggestions, "Thunderstruck", "Who made who", "Do it for the money". Also, please give "Time has come today" and "Can't turn you loose" by the Chambers Brothers a chance, you won't regret it.

    That song shows the power and pure energy of rock n roll. It touches your soul. The group with Bon Scott was so good and this little live song with the Royal Bagpipers rolling down the street on a flatbed trailer will never be duplicated. Thanks for lov’n it…at 73 it never gets old. Rock n Roll !

    Bon could play the bagpipes because he was originally from Scotland and moved to Australia just like Angus and Malcolm did. My favorite band ever \m/

      bon wasnt raised in s ottland he came he when he was 6 yrs old lived in melbourne for a bit then
      the scotts moved to fremantle W.A so 27 yrs out of his 33 yrs were in australia same as angus and malcome were only kids when they came

      Bon was in a pipe band but he was a drummer. He didn't know how to play the bagpipes.

      @@cathyaldridge4550 yes he did he uses tomay them on srage in the song but at one concert he left them on the sude ofvthe stage the crowd got them and ripped them apart so from then on they uses a recording of bagpipes through the P.A

      @@markjfoletti3155 I'm pretty sure he just learnt that song. He didn't know how to play when they wrote the song. He bought the bagpipes at great expense and was told it would take years to learn them so he got a few lessons from the guys in the flatbed truck video to see him through. He was a drummer in the pipe band he was in as a kid.

    Devin the year I started listening these guys my friend Tim turned me on to him it was 1979 they became one of my favorite bands immediately the next year bon Scott died it's hard to believe it's been 42 years there's a great documentary on RUclips that just came out 2 months ago about the whole band and his brother and some bandmates are on it it's fabulous.

    I saw them in London, England at the Marquee Club in July of 1976. By the end of the gig Angus was standing on top of the speaker dressed only in his underwear. LOL.

    A lot of us Aussies will sing, "It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll"! They filmed this clip on the back of a truck through the streets of Melbourne. My favourite AC/DC song though is Jailbreak with Bon on lead vocals.

    Saw them in 1974 outside the Royal Exhibition building in Fitzroy Melbourne, I was 13 and it was my first concert! ps: Melbourne is the only city in the world to win World's most livable city 7 years running and was recently voted friendliest city in the world. This video was shot in the heart of Melbourne down Swanston Street. As a joke all us school kids used to sing: It's a long way to the shop if you want a sausage roll.

    In that documentary I told you about they said that it's a long way to top if you want to rock and roll has hit almost 100 million views on RUclips Brian Jones and bon Scott were friends for a short period of time and bon Scott said if anything ever happens to me I want Brian Jones to take over.

      Hi Stephanie, I'm from Scotland myself, and absolutely love AC /DC, did you know that Angus and Malcolm Young were born in Glasgow, and Bon Scott was born in Forfar, when Let There be Rock came out, Angus was only 22 years old!! 😀 😀

    This song ain't lying. I was in a band in high school. We where pretty known in the Minneapolis metal community. I was lead guitar and my drummer and I started the band. We couldn't handle the grind, we imploded cause we all had the Rockstar mentality without the Rockstar success.

    Hi Devin, this from their 1975 album High Voltage, the video was filmed in Melbourne, Australia, and indeed it is Bon Scott on vocals, he was born in Scotland, as was Angus and Malcolm Young, Angus is the one in the schoolboy outfit, it was Bon playing the bagpipes, they were formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1973 by Scottish born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young!! 😀 😀

    Been a big fan of ACDC since the 70s. This was with the original singer Bon Scott who unfortunately died in 1980. That is when Brian Johnson took over as the lead singer. It was actually Bon Scott himself who picked Brian Johnson to replace him as lead singer when he died, as he had heard Brian Johnson sing in a bar, and told the rest of the band members, that's who I want to replace me when I die, and obviously Brian Johnson did.
