- It is so lovely to wander around the garden and see the buds on trees, flowers opening and plants returning to life. It is also great to harvest some spring greens for food and nourishment. Take a look at my website to find out more about Danu's Irish Herb Garden - www.danusirish... This is where you can find out about my courses and books. My Introduction to Herbal Medicine, www.danusirish... is for absolute beginners and for those with some experience also. The Wise Woman Way training - here - www.danusirish... is also focused on plants and follows the Celtic Wheel of the Year. This is a transpersonal course for healing and we are dipping into druidic and shamanic techniques.
The Weed Handbooks can be found here - www.danusirish...

Good morning Terri and Lol. Spring is a bit further along where you are than it is here for us in S.E. Ont. Canada. Your yard is so green! I'm hoping you show us how you make your pesto and kimchi. Your driveway garden is coming along very well. Thank you for sharing your sacred garden space with all of us. Have a great week, both of you. Blessings from Canada.🌷
Blessings to you too Karen. I will definitely show you how I make my pesto and maybe in time, the kimchi once I know what I am doing xx
@DanusIrishHerbGarden I've been looking through your videos foe one on how to make apple cider vinegar with the mother. Unfortunately, if you have one I can't find it. I've also tried just looking up danu irish herb garden apple cider vinegar. Nothing comes up. Do you have a video on making apple cider vinegar with the mother?
Do you have a video on making apple cider vinegar with the mother? I've searched the videos and I'm not seeing it.
Thanks from Italy! I attended a fermentation course and now I ferment many vegetable:
It is for sure an healthy way to eat.
Great - I am hoping to get into fermentation this year. Kimchi was the first thing I have tried so far. xx
Lovely to see spring waking up around your place.
It's coming along, still cold at night xx
Three cornered leeks look exactly like snow-drops! And Terri, I can’t wait to see your lovely hydrangea again, in full bloom! It truly was lovely last year.
They are very similar at first glance and look just as lovely. xx
''Spring is in the air'' and Danu is on it~! 🐝🌸💐💮🌺🌿🍀
Yes I am!😂🎶

Hope you don’t get blown away. I loved seeing all your flowers and new baby leaves. Catkins are so fun.
Love the old sayings, In like a lion out like a lamb, love the channel ☘️
Time will tell, keeping fingers crossed x
Me, too! I love all Terri's turns of phrase!
I discovered your channel months ago and somehow lost it in the web of things. Found it back again a few days ago as I, ironically enough, enrolled in an online herbalism course. I'm eating your videos like honey. They are precious and informative, accessible yet very precise. I love seeing the dogs and the animals doing their thing in the background while you teach. Funnily enough I made my very own first kimchi yesterday! I hope your experimentations will turn out great. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on this little corner of the Internet. Now, off to the collective garden! See you next Sunday! Jove xx
Glad you found us again. Thanks for the feedback and so happy you are enjoying the videos. Best wishes to you and your garden xx
A Korean friend of mine introduced me to Kimchi, I can't get enough of it!
My daughter loves it too. I'm hoping I will too x
I love it too
I make my own kimchi and kombucha. Both excellent for gut health. Don't overdo it though 😊
Such is the deserving name of 'The Emerald Isle'. Thank you for the lovely visit Terri and Lol. I found out that some phones will not open the support info under the videos but laptops and desktops as well as more recent phone models will have access to the extra info. Now ... back to work on Module 4 assignment. But the break was Sweet!
My eyes and heart delight when I see the little ones that show up now in spring. 💚💚💚 Last night my peache has empty branches … today the pink flowers start showing 💔
Like a miracle! xx What a sight xx
So lovely to see the plants coming back to life for spring. We’re just starting autumn.

@@DanusIrishHerbGarden oh gosh yes!! 😆 I hope so 🌼
Lovely to see your garden coming to life. Here in Scotland we are having a nice mild few days with the warmth of the sun helping all the tulip bulbs burst into life. Thank you Terri & Lol. 🏴
Wonderful! Every little pop of colour reminds us sunshine is coming back xx
Thank you so much for all your hard work. I'm so happy we are getting the light nights back too and to see all the beautiful wee crocus and all the colours coming back nature is truly wonderful xx
She surely is - such an exciting and exhilarating time xx
My Granny has a weeping cherry tree beside her driveway and it is beautiful when it blooms, no cherries sadly but beautiful to see.😍
Happy Sunday! We've got an unusually warm day today and plenty of rain yesterday to help the new growth spring into Spring. Blessings xx
Blessings to you too Jamie xx
Wow how exciting we have just some daffodils just breaking ground . Thank you have a blessed weeks 😊❤️🙏

A joy to watch, Terri! The fox gloves are truly amazing, and will be a real beauty when the flowers appear! But like you say, it is so interesting and varied already to see all the changes happening. You just have to pay attention and see it! True wonders! enjoy the rest of the week! Many blessings!
It’s 5am in Indiana USA … our spring is trying to get started. It’s still about 4- 6 weeks away before I can plant in my zone. Tyfs
Lots of time to plan and dream x
Thanks Terri. You always have the wind with you no matter the weather.
Always!😂
Fabulous video as usual. Spring is my favourite time of the year
Mine too! At the moment, then it is Summer and I love Autumn ...😂
Another beautiful film. Thank you. 💖 And as always Lol's music was amazing. With fermentation you have opened to the door an amazing new world of health and culinary delight. My mother's family is German, so we always made big stone crocks of sauerkraut every fall. And I have been fermenting for many, many years, everything from honey meads (which I remember you making as well) to a ginger-lemon ferment and a coconut kefir I have fermenting right now. There is growing medical evidence the health of our biome is at the center of our own health, making healthy ferments essential. Peace be with you and your family good friend. 🍀
I agree, very good for the gut biome and overall health. Hoping that if I get the hang of it we will have longer healthier lives. So glad to hear you enjoyed the film and much peace to you and all xx
Every year I’m so envious watching you during this time of year 🥴☺️🥰….have a great week!
I will do Lady Thyme.. Won't be much longer for you xx

Cherries are such a delight when they bloom!!🌸🌸
So beautiful!
So nice to see things growing. Here February was mostly mild. Snow all melted at this elevation and it seemed March had arrived by mid-February. Now, last day of February and these first two days of March, it has been snowing. We do need snow though as snow levels are very low right now and that could mean an extremely serious forest fire season. Hopefully that old adage, March comes in like a lion - goes out like a lamb, will be true to the word this year. Enjoy your garden. Cheers!
I hope so. It had never occurred to me, that connection between snow and fire. Harmony is so delicately balanced. Hope you have a great week too x
i really encourage everyone to start sharing your plants directly from their own gardens. Unfortunately lots of the professional growers (here in North America anyway) treat and use neonicotinoids both on seeds and plant starts. Neonics stay in the plant and unfortunately come through the flowers. Neonics are deadly to bees (and us!) :(
Sharing from our gardens is the only way to know if you are getting a healthy plant unless you have a organic / natural grower in your area. Plus it supports the sharing philosophy that is the heart and health of a friendly and thriving community :) I am so happy to see all the life and beauty in your garden Terri & Lol.
That is horrific information. I will make enquiries here. Thanks for the alert and yes, sharing among the community is a good idea. xx
Hello there dear terri, oh how delightful, its just such a wonderful time seeing little peeps here and there, letting us know spring will be soon,, the kale looks lovely and how beautiful to be have ing suprise foxglove s.its looking just lovely in your gardens, thznkyou so much for shareing and loll its perfect music for all the delightful new growing s out there in the sunshine and breeze, just perfect, hmmm! It's a blustery day here in Oklahoma USA also! Trees and plants budding and blooming. Hope we don't get another freeze! Thank you Terri 💚🌙🌿 beautiful
I hope so too! It has got quite cold again here - we have low pressure and wind from the north xx
💜 wow, your place is so much further along than here.
We are lucky, being close to the ocean and experiencing the Gulf Stream too xx
I love kimchi! ❤
we had a mild rainy day here in NH USA yesterday, but I said to my husband colder weather coming back w/possibility of snow, you know March In like a lion out like a lamb 😊 I love watching your lovely videos every Sunday I truly look forward to it all week! Thank you💚
Well March came in here like a lion so hoping the lamb will come with some warmth for growing xx
WOW, I’m excited with all the spring life coming in your gardens! Here the snow has been replaced with puddles/mud so we’ll have 2 weeks before anything buds or blooms. Today I saw my first 2 chipmunks, which we haven’t had on the property in years due to the wild cats. Funny how I’m happy to see them and not the wild rats, yet they’re all rodents. 😊
Ha ha - but chipmunks are so Disney. Rats are a nuisance to have around. xx
Hello Terry, thank you for your windy video, the winf od change.... ❤️🙏✨✨✨✨
Hope so - a change for the better, for the people xx
Hi Terri and Lol, What a pleasure to see all the plants coming up!! Spring is not here yet, though the weather is quite mild!!! Thank you so very much for your high positive vibes!!! Blessings and more blessings!!!😃🙏🐝🦋🌹🍀🍎

It is such a great joy to see the Spring splendor of the buds and daffodils and greens shooting up. Spring in SW FL 85°. One of the reasons your garden in Ireland is such a magnificent sight to see.
How are you Carolyn? Yes, it is a lovely time of year, everything is very green due to the rain and the general damp. xx
Thank you Terri, Your haven is as lovely as ever and furries are enchanting as always. You will enjoy the fermentation course for sure. I began this culinary art 2 years' ago, and have practically fermented everything. And it has had an amazing impact on my whole system luv n light x
Hoping for same positive effects here xx
Another great segment Have you ever Thought of having a row of fox gloves Along the fence.
I think that would be beautiful after what I've seen what they look like. I might try to plan someone else. You have a lot of good ideas of your landscaping.
And you're vegetables in your herbs and your healing with plants.
Thank you for having the show and your ideas. God bless you and your family god bless the world god bless the children and And keep them safe for harm 👍🙏🇺🇲
Minus 30 C in Whitehorse (the Yukon, Canada) today. By Wednesday the temperatures will be better. Our sign of spring is that the daylight is so much longer ands the birds are singing. It was so lovely to see all the green and daffodils. Good luck with kale kimchi ❤
Thank you. It is lovely to hear all the birds singing, really brightens up the day xx
Hello! It was nice to see the animals! And your beautiful kale , and enjoy your fermentation with it fora better health, happy for you! Common dogs .. ! 😊😊
Thanks. Hope it works xx
Lovely to see your garden with colors, spring is amazing. Here in the Netherlands the sun is blocked, because' of the climate change, the earth here, is boiling'. The last four month we did not see the sun, we had a lot of rain. I hope the people here will wake up. Thank you for your video.
I hope they do, although with the lack of sunlight perhaps they can't think straight. How ridiculous! I hope you are ok and taking your vitamin D3 xx
March came in like a lion here in the Monterey Bay area in California. Thunder and lightening, with lots of rain. So much fun! More rain is expected. The apricot tree has started to get some blossoms. The blackberry vines are waking up with lots of greenery. We have lots of kale as well, at least 7 different kinds. I am looking at the fermentation class you mentioned, I have made mead as you instructed and I use sourdough starter for just about everything baked. I know some basics and it is nice to have a course as I am doing with the sourdough. Everything on your property is so lovely, the music is so soothing. Thank you for sharing, always makes me happy to watch every week.
🐑Thank you for sharing ✌️💞🤟
Glad you enjoyed it xx
Fermenting foods is something I have been wanting to get into for some time. I have a long list of books that cover all kinds of things including kimchi and other Asian ferments. I have many fond memories of making pickles, beets and various sauces with my parents as a child.
Go for it! I make chutneys and jams every year but I have cupboards full and think fermenting is another good way of preserving food. xx
Looking forward to seeing your foxglove stump in the summer months❤️🦋❤️🌾🌾🌾🌾🌾xx
Me too!! I hope my little perennials around the stump will come back too xx
My favorite start to Sunday morning! Thank you for sharing your garden, your gifts and your insights 🌻🍀

I love the fresh and juicy green colour of spring season! Your volunteer kale looks yum, it created such a food forest. Nature is so generous. All best Terri ❤
Most definitely - more Kale there than I ever planted!😂 I must say, the pesto I made along with the Three Cornered Leeks is delicious. It must be the vibrant green!
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden I can't wait for the first plants coming out of the ground over here . I live in an apartment and don't have my garden yet but love foraging for foods. Your pesto sounds really delicious
Thank you for the help. I never knew where to look for "more." See you next week.
You're welcome!
Love seeing all the green new life blooming in your lovely garden! We're one or two months behind you here in northeast Ohio.

I love watching your videos!!! Greetings from Brazil :) ❤
Greetings Maria Clara, you are welcome xx
Loving greetings dear Terri and Lol. I'm excited to tell you my myriad of poppy seeds have already started to peek out, at least the ones in the pots. I was shocked to see this already. And my little fig tree has many new buds. It's always an early Spring here in the desert and never ceases to amaze me. Your property already looks beautiful.
Blessings to you all once again, furry kids included. 💚🐾🐾🐾💚
Sounds great! So exciting when things start to pop up. Blessings to you Marilyn xx
Love that weeping cherry. Thanks for your content!!

Wonderful to see all the buds and flowers ,lots of daffodils for St David's day this year, though snow all morning 😕
No snow here - apart from on the mountains. Happy St. David's Day! xx
We have had snow and frost for a couple of days here in Northumberland, but the new growth has not been harmed, lovely to see you and your garden. xx
Lovely Northumberland - that is a place I would love to see more of. x
Seattle is beginning to bud, despite freezing temperatures at night. My vegs are under plastic until the snow threat leaves! Love your garden, the dogs, cat, Lol, yourself, and all your good ideas 💚
You are so kind, thank you. Hope you are keeping warm xx
It’s looking lovely there
It is, even on a grey miserable day 😂
Hello Terry , I just found you and I can't even explain how happy I m 😊 I love love love every video of yours ❤ thank you so very much for sharing your excellent knowledge 😊
Good morning from the ozarks. Walking in my yard fertilizing and enjoying the buds. Hope for the future.
Everything seems better on a spring morning. Lots of hope and positivity in the air xx
Thank you 🌹
😀🌈🌟
Thank you Terri. Been very cold up here in the North xx
Fermentation has always been something I have wanted to get into. I bought a book on it acouple of years ago but have also been nervous about doing it wrong and making us ill. Blessings as always from Wales X
I don't think you should worry. It's like making jam except using veggies and salt instead of fruit and sugar. You will know by the smell if anything has gone wrong. You can do it! xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden I had never thought of it like that xx
I always enjoy your videos. Thank you
I'm so glad you like them xx
That's no 'little shrub' at 3:11, that's a New Zealand coastal forest tree. Griselinia littoralis. They can reach 8M. It is often grown as a hedge here in NZ. They must be clipped often or will take the tree form. One of the Maori names is Kapuka.
Autumn just starting here of course. Some plants that you use are considered pests here even in the south as they grow much faster get out of control, such as Hawthorn and Elderberry.
I very much enjoy your videos.
OMG!! I know that it is Griselinia - we put those in for hedging and years ago, when I planted this one, I thought it would make a nice shrub. It did for a while and then just went off like a rocket!!! I will be getting him clipped very soon. Hawthorn grows very slowly here and where I live, remains short and stunted generally, because of the salt wind.
So glad you like the videos and thanks so much for telling me about the Griselinia!!!!😳
Enjoyed the music and video so much. Mesmerizing and charming. xx
Thank you so much! So glad to hear that xx
Love your foxglove log! Mother Nature's Art! Amazing. Just came back from my walk around the property - we still have some snow but saps running! I can smell the sap boiling at our neighbors - that smell of maple is Spring to me! Can't wait for our fruit trees to start flowering-love your weeping cherry. Your fermentation course sounds fun and practical. Enjoy!
I took a coarse on fermentation last year and loved beets/carrots in one jar!
YEs, I have a lot more to learn yet. xx
I love your videos its a breath of fresh air thank you
So beautiful to hear the gales!! I hadn't thought of fermenting kale, great idea! Take care.
I got idea from my class.. Added Kale to the pesto which turned out delicious xx
Love to watch Huw Richards! Nice young man and very informative channel.
Yes, one of the very few channels I make time to watch xx
Stunning, I have a few greens popping up around my trees and the temperatues are being kinder. I am planning my garden I want to do other hebs along with sage have any ideas?
Wonderful! Definitely Rosemary and put in other perennials such as Oregano, Marjoram, Mint, (in his own pot) Coriander, Basil when weather gets warmer and then add in anything else you would like, some Lavender, Echinacea and so on
