A real shame to see a character like Conker go through such turmoil especially after losing his girl in his big game. He deserves a fresh and clear sequel
At this point, I reckon the Conker series can only go in one of three directions at this point: -- Sequel where he's sober -- Soft reboot -- Multiverse sequel that'd put a new spin on Twelve Tales?
Christmas From Heaven’s Perspective For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. -Isaiah 9:6 In Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, Juliet famously asked, “What is in a name? That which we call a rose by any other word would smell just as sweet.” That may be true for flowers. But for people, names make a difference. In the Bible, names mean something. Parents often named their children in honor of events that took place at the time of their birth. Or, they named their children for their unique physical characteristics. For example, the name of the first man, Adam, means “earth” because God formed him from the dust of the earth. Esau’s name means “hairy” because he was hairy. His twin brother, who hung on to Esau’s heel as he was born, was named Jacob, which means “heel catcher.” One woman went into labor when she heard that her father-in-law and husband had died and the Philistines had captured the ark of the covenant. She named her child Ichabod, which means “Where is the glory?” (1 Samuel 4:21). Yet the name that is above all names is the name of Jesus. The problems we face in life do not need to baffle us; we know that God will reveal His will to us because Christ is our Counselor. Mighty God” takes care of the demands of life that can overwhelm us. “Everlasting Father” means that because Christ came to Earth to die on the cross, pay for our sins, and rise from the dead, we have an everlasting Father who will be with us forever. “Prince of Peace” takes care of the disturbances of life. And how we need that peace in these frightening times. At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus. In one sense, it was that. But in another sense, Jesus never was technically born. In one sense, He was born as a human and died some thirty-three years later on a Roman cross. But in another sense, Jesus has neither a beginning nor an end. Jesus is God. He is eternal. He is part of the Trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit To us, Christmas represents the entrance of Jesus to Earth. For God, it meant the departure of His Son from Heaven. “A child is born to us.” That is Earth’s perspective. “A son is given to us.” That is Heaven’s perspective.
The TYPE of comedy can work well. This implementation... not so much. Consider the money pick-ups. If the money was over-excited about being picked up to the point where it gets almost creepy, that would be using sentient collectibles to make humor. If they money thought that it was being rescued when it's actually just being sent to pay a tab, that would be good humor. Having the money just say "pick me up", though... doesn't seem like enough? This particular game probably needed a higher density of jokes as having a single joke or reference fall-flat (such as "repetitive gameplay for padding lol" or "Metal Gear Solid stealth makes no sense") would otherwise force the game to rely on its gameplay.

If an actual Conker game gets made... I hope he hacks the files to get blackmail on the designer to force in some way to revive Beri. It would be completely in character and make total sense in the setting AND give the fuzzy little bastard the happy ending he deserves. He's a shit, but he deserves better.
He'll get caught up in the fact that he hasn't had a game in a while, blackmail the dev into making a new game for him, and forget all about Berri again
It'd be an amazing plot for the next game, perhaps he will lost anything else by the end in exchange of Berry, but I think that he doesn't give a shit as long as he has Berrry and a Beer after being sober for so long (1 night) Sadly MS is a pussy, they need games , but they don't even try to make a Remaster of Banjo Kazooie, which would sell a lot
I adored Project Spark and while I loved the Conker addition I do wish we actually got something new from Conker like standing on it's own, best we could hope for was being able to make our mini adventures with him, rip Conker and Project Spark, here's to hoping you both get your chance to shine once more.

I loved Project Spark and it had amazing potential with the right support and budget. Conker definitely deserves a new game, He'd be a perfect fit for today's gaming audience.
FYI for people thinking it's a new game, it isn't. It's footage of the Conker dlc for project Spark which was a game creation service on the original Xbox one.
Microsoft has no idea what they are doing. I left for Sony when the ps4 was released and never looked back. They stole from me and screwed me over so many times I was done with them. The horrible reveal of the xbox one was the last straw. A bunch of games and dlc would not install for me. I had plenty of space and decent wifi so it wasn't on my end. I'm aware of the no refunds thing but they could have at least tried to help. Then for a month their network was spotty and they blamed it on their players instead of trying to fix it. Then the one Christmas when both Microsoft and Sony got ddos'd Sony compensated with a few free days of ps+. Microsoft did absolutely nothing according to my brother. He would follow suit and switch over to the ps5 later. After what they did to me I refuse to buy another Microsoft console.
@@ZombifiedBuizelWell, glad I missed all that drama. Personally I don't enjoy paying an arm and leg for PS5 games, but if you're having a good experience then I'm happy for you.
@@ZombifiedBuizelI had stopped playing Xbox after they started pushing down hard on Game Pass to the point they eradicated the classic Live Gold subscription tier for games I’m not interested to play. Gaming has began feeling disposable throughout the One era, it was astonishing watching the devolution of the dashboard until it ended up being the exact same as on their other consoles. The PlayStation just feels more breathtaking and reminds me of that personalized charm from the 6th gen when games were made of love and passion.
The thing about Conkers is that while all of us have nostalgia for it, if its done wrong, its going to be worse than a flop. all of us have such high expectations for it, and really want it, but i think that pressure alone is enough to keep Rare away from it. I would love to see a full sequel to it, but it needs to be done properly. It would have to be a game with the same edge and humor that made it stand out decades ago, and I just dont think the devs or even Xbox would want that game in its library unfortunately.
@davidschmidt5533 Trying to recreate Conker's humor without the Outrage Mob burning down your studio is like walking a tightrope made of razor wire in a hurricane.

I liked Project Spark man, but it's sad to see that THIS was how they brought back Conker, and they didn't even finish it. Conker really deserves better.

One of the most obvious problems with this is how meta it is. Did Conker fans want a retread and rehash? I doubt it. Conker needs new scenarios, new NPCs, new sources of humor. A sequel that actually feels like it was made in the modern day. One that doesn't include any tedious gameplay and try to make a joke out of it.
At least Micrsoft recognizes that. A few years ago, the boss man said he regrets that Microsoft shut down so many companies instead of letting them continue to make the games that made them worth buying.

Conker could be Microsoft's Astro Bot, it would give the Xbox brand some credibility and recognition, at this point, the only real hope for Conkers Other Bad Fur Day is Playtonic games, which consists of a lot of the best ex Rare talent, so many cool ideas for a new Conker game, the industry is starving for a AAA 3D platformer like that, Mario Odyssey was brilliant, but no game character has charisma like Conker.

It’s sad this game didn’t make it across all gaming systems and wasn’t publicized. I remember Bad Fur day highly underrated game, one of my absolute favorites to play.
This looks like a demo of a new Conker game to come out in the future, my guess is that Don Weaso is out there wanting to get his revenge on Conker by kidnapping his friends and holding them at gunpoint. It was cool that they were still able to sneak in some dirty humor, hopefully this time no children play this game, and it comes out for the switch. It would be cool that after every boss Conker would free one of his friends from Don’s goons, I guess that would mean that Birdy was the only friend who managed to escape their clutches. I especially like that they added the war theme back in, and here I was hoping Conker was finally able to go home, and I assume he’s still the king of all the land.
If GTA can get away with their content Conker can definitely survive these days! It was one of my favorite game as a kid besides Golden Eye 007. Also Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat
I loved Project Spark the closest thing we got to LittleBigPlanet on the Xbox. Played so many levels and would spend HOURS on this game because that's how much I enjoyed it. Would LOVE Microsoft to revive this game...

I played the original game it was crazy fun! I know this was a first episode of a planned series, but it just didn't do it for me. This one felt slow to me the jokes weren't that funny, game play uninspired, and the Birdy character... I didn't like his mumbling voice. Who knows maybe it would have gotten better if the series continued ... but first impressions are everything. It's best to remember Conker for what it was back in it's day, and not tarnish its legacy.
I can't believe Conker hasn't gotten a second game it was funny and multi-player mini games was awesome not the remake version they shit on the mini games
So back before Rare shut down, the developers had almost been done woth the next game, the same thing happened with Mercenaries 3 with Lucas Arts and Pandemic. Anyway, they were almost done with the next game, Conker's Other Bad Day. They never finished it because the studio shut down. A few years ago they were asked about it and if they would ever release it. The main developers said no. Because 1, they don't think it would fit the times anymore, and the humor and stuff would be lost on people. (Pffft, yeah right.) And 2, which is the main reason, is that they were grown up now and that after 20 years, they just don't feel like making such immature games or whatever, it's bs in my opinion.
the graphics are a beautiful adaptation of the og game, way better than live and reloaded, nuts and bolts, the gta remasters etc. depressing this got canned
If they ever do a sequel. The parodies need to be about modern day game tropes & problems with modern gaming, & parodies of modern game series. The jokes that worked on me were the microtransaction one & the one where you were sneaking in the base & you just randomly had a communication device already implanted.
Let me tell you Rare was on top of the world when it came to games. All went away when they were acquired by Microsoft. Not sure what happened, but I sure miss it.
I'd take this over nothing, but it's a damn shame Conker didn't get it's own proper sequel. Not to mention the fact this was cancelled after one episode. Another stab in the gut.
Nah, it's more likely that the one writing it was drunk, since it's on a bar door... and Conker pissing his former friends off is entirely in character for him.
Such a shame the game was canceled. The whole schtick to Conker's Bad Fur Day was ripping on movies. Between then and now, the ENTIRE MCU has occurred. Imagine how much of that a new game could make fun of.
A real shame to see a character like Conker go through such turmoil especially after losing his girl in his big game. He deserves a fresh and clear sequel
Awesome as usual ❤
At this point, I reckon the Conker series can only go in one of three directions at this point:
-- Sequel where he's sober
-- Soft reboot
-- Multiverse sequel that'd put a new spin on Twelve Tales?
Conker does need a proper sequel but I feel like in this day and age we'll never get something like that
What he needs is a proper reboot in a game that isn't M-rated. Maybe somewhere around E10 to T.

Christmas From Heaven’s Perspective
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
-Isaiah 9:6
In Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, Juliet famously asked, “What is in a name? That which we call a rose by any other word would smell just as sweet.”
That may be true for flowers.
His twin brother, who hung on to Esau’s heel as he was born, was named Jacob, which means “heel catcher.”
One woman went into labor when she heard that her father-in-law and husband had died and the Philistines had captured the ark of the covenant. She named her child Ichabod, which means “Where is the glory?”
(1 Samuel 4:21).
Yet the name that is above all names is the name of Jesus. The prophet Isaiah told us some important things about the name of the Messiah who was to come and also gave us some insights into the character of Jesus: “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”
(Isaiah 9:6)
Each name Isaiah used to describe Jesus portrays a different aspect of the work that God wants to do in our lives. “Wonderful Counselor” means that we no longer have to look to the cheap substitutes this world offers to bring us fulfillment because Jesus Christ makes life wonderful.

Too bad the devs think otherwise about the comedy holding up and also that they aren't exactly interested in making a sequel
This is old..... But this should definitely be a game to be looked into. People would love it old and young.
The original n64 version had less censorship.

Microsoft has no idea what they are doing. I left for Sony when the ps4 was released and never looked back. They stole from me and screwed me over so many times I was done with them. To be fair conker did meet donkey Kong in the race game
my heart says this game would have been completed if Rare stayed with nintendo. my brain however, tells me not to be stupid.
anyone here 2024? Still asking for a remake! or a part 2! This was one of my favorite games.
I love this new video and this such a reunion
Still waiting for that sequel "Conker the King." (Is what it should be called)
While I do love the idea of this remake, it really doesn't do the series justice.
the fact that the first 3 and a half minutes is just conker being naked and breaking the fourth wall is crazy
It is good to see another one to this game years later
Omg the thumbnail startled me
ironically, conker was my childhood. I beat it many, many times. I hope a proper sequel gets made one day.
Conker is one of my favorite forgotten childhood characters along with Goemon from Mystical Ninja starring Goemon
How are you playing this on a Series X? Isn't it not accessible anymore?
Man I miss project spark. I still have my physical copy
Yea I was lowkey hooked for awhile lol dreams on ps4 is good if your into creating and coding
Save that physical copy , I got mines somewhere lol 50 years we'll look back and be like "dam what could of been" 😂
3:19 when you wanted to remake Conker but instead got confused and started remaking Bubsy 3D
Bit of a bitter ending
@@a.jcheshiremen7822Pocket Tales was the first game
I can't believe Conker hasn't gotten a second game it was funny and multi-player mini games was awesome not the remake version they shit on the mini games
It's upto us to ask uncle Phil to reconsider re opening conkers big reunion but under unreal engine 5 and bring back banjo sequel
Conker is so meta
Did they use the original voice actors?
Conker is the type of game that could actually be compared to the Playstations Ratchet. I think there was a missed opportunity there
6:31 Mario wasn't a plumber in Donkey Kong... '_'
All I need is a sequel where we get to revive Berri or something so my childhood can rest easy
It's a shame Microsoft didn't want this add-on to be made... it looks sooo good!
This came out 8 years ago why am I just now finding out about it
It was originally on the short-lived Project Spark platform.
Great video and I wish this game would have been finished. It seems to have so much potential
I bought a physical disk of Project Spark but it doesn't work
It mostly looks like it would've been a remake(Or another Remaster) of Bad Fur Day with a new look. Honestly.. It’s kind of a shame we never got it.
Those Damn Tediz cancelled his reunion and gas light him 😂, we need another game
the graphics are a beautiful adaptation of the og game, way better than live and reloaded, nuts and bolts, the gta remasters etc. depressing this got canned
We need Conker to come back!
I miss this.
Conker BFD fans where ya at!
possibly the closest to a conker bad fur day sequel
Love how the capital letters in the note on the Cock and Plucker spell HELP, hoping this leads into a new game.
Nah, it's more likely that the one writing it was drunk, since it's on a bar door... and Conker pissing his former friends off is entirely in character for him.
@@corjonbett Considering how the "P.S." is written, it sounds more like that his friends were forced to write that while under supervision.
Such a shame the game was canceled. The whole schtick to Conker's Bad Fur Day was ripping on movies.
Between then and now, the ENTIRE MCU has occurred. Imagine how much of that a new game could make fun of.
