It's not a downfall. How dare you say that? It is the rising of a woke utopian city. The dreams of all Democrats is finally being realized. 🌈 and 🦄

San Francisco is going through changes, Some businesses are moving out because more people are buying online. It'll be fine. This is an amazing city and will always be. They do need to get rid of the Mayor, DA, and Police Chief. The council as well. Other than that, San Francisco is an amazing city.

If you were gonna give the United States an enema, you would insert it in San Francisco.

Agreed. And if republicans ran the city, it would be far worse.

At this point, what purpose does it serve to report on this? The city officials couldn't care less, and that's simply not going to change. The liberal voters got exactly what they voted for. There isn't an incentive to change, because the city still makes enough tax revenue to offset any losses it may suffer from those few that actually choose to move out.

its why i couldn't live on the west coast there are huge differences with east coast and west coast ideas of democrat's. i was ostracized as a democrat that was not into the whole let people do what they want where they want and when they want. by that i mean these social policies that attribute to these outcomes. its hard to turn back the ship when all those drug policies have been put into motion. the homelessness levels in the west coast are way worse than the east coast especially due to lax drug laws , those folks need help and some sort of work there needs to be some sort of back to society program but you cant have that if they have 24-7 access to drugs. because they may be lost to greater society for ever after years of drug abuse. i can tell you half of silicon valley and folks from san fran have moved to miami in droves. there has to be a point where your functioning city is more important. now i dont know what jobs for low wage workers are avail in SF if any but thats a failure of city gov to attract low pay jobs and midgrade blue collar and looking away or not providing a good balance of work availability and living conditions vs rents will also cause this. you need a healthy mix of all income brackets within a city along with good social policies and a not so lenient drug policy without the proper human resources to deal with such a crisis. and its allover from southern cal up to Seattle. it broke my heart when i saw this not only for those struggling but for those who are living there and thriving as well.

Huge difference between traditional liberalism and progressive. Look at 90s liberal strategies in most cities, very different from progressive movements destroying these cities, unfortunately, as policies moved further left, it's been the downfall of these cities.

Its really sad whats happened to san francisco, a great city with lots of character but the drugs and crime put you off. Surprised the local government allow it with silicon valley next door
