I had to stop the video and type this comment…. When I have an “oops” that is small and won’t be noticed by anyone but me, I always say, “It’s not going to the fair”!! It’s amazing to me how alike we are! Love your videos and I’m working on my own shirt quilt. It may be a while before I can share it, because I’m having trouble finding yellow shirts. I may have to end up using more of the same shirts I have, but we will see. Thank you for your teaching.

Dawn, that is hilarious and great! ❤️ And I bet you are your own worst critic (just like me!) 🤓
I’m excited for you about your shirt quilt; and yes getting yellow shirts at all, but especially “good” ones can be tough. Sending you prayers and good vibes and lucky universe juice that you’ll find just what you need on your next thrift store run! ❤️🤩

Robin-me too! I really REALLY wanted to figure out a way to get this info across AND do the quilting in the same video, but (as you know) sometimes I have too much to say!!
You COULD always grab two more colored shirts and another white one and make another quilt top while you’re waiting on next week’s quilting video! 😳😘🤩 I mean, you know you’re gonna want to make another one, right? 😉😂❤️🤓

Thank you for another really useful video. I've always been a person eager to rush towards the end of a project, and as a result I've often been disappointed with the end product. Quilting has taught me that only when I prepare well, and take my time over each element of the process do I get the quality that I want to achieve. I now no longer look how far away the finish line is, but get satisfaction and enjoyment from whatever I've achieved that day (even if its seam reaping😂)

Linda, me too!! (To all of this comment!) ❤️ What I love about quilting is also what frustrates me sometimes about quilting: all the steps! But when I don’t get ahead of myself, I can settle in an enjoy just what’s in front of me…and then the next thing I know, I’m done! 😊🥰❤️

I am binge watching all your videos. I’ve made at least 20 quilts. I feel like I’m going to need to start over. One piece of advice is that some walking feet (foots?) need to be oiled. They have metal on metal parts.

Always love your videos.... I get stuck finishing/moving forward and you inspire me to "get the job done"! Thank you, Cathy. BTW, I did order a pattern from your suggested quilter. Because my husband had more stripes, I ordered the pattern called, "The Tessa Quilt" with the background coming from a few of his darker shirts..... I'll send you a Pic when I'm done. Still working on the gingham quilt though... I always look forward to your next tutorial.

So excited to see your wonderful video. Grandkids are gone, house is too quiet and I am deconstructing flannel shirts for a flannel quilt. My son sent 4 home in a care package to me, and I bought 4 at the thrift store for $2 each. I will use my Walking Foot and lots of starch. I think of you when I am deconstructing shirts.
