Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. I got so excited thinking they were back but it's just an old performance :( There really are no other bands like them.
I've spent years looking for a similar band to fill the void in between albums and especially after they disbanded, but one does not exist. The closest band to their vibe is Twenty One Pilots, considering Paul Meany is the musical director on their tours and produced their last 2 albums. However, like MuteMath, Twenty One Pilots are also a very unique band and there's no one else out there who sounds like them.
Very interesting to see them with a different drummer with a different style. Darren played a bit ahead of the beat and this guy plays behind it, giving things a different feel. Both great drummers though.
Without Roy Mitchell and Darren King, MM is not the same band at all, Paul Meaney has descended to the kind of musicians who play for money. There is no live drive anymore, just a pop commercial band. It's very sad, but it's true.

You cant replace Darren, him and Paul made MM what it was.
@@stevendukedesigns well Darren left, before an already scheduled and promised tour, so the egg is on his face.
