I love watching the girls excitement in trying all the snacks. I've actually had Cadbury chocolate from the UK. Definitely different than ours, it's not as sweet. My favorite snacks are Goldfish, Cheese Its, Grandma's Cookies, and Air Heads. I tried getting a good variety of different snacks but sugar reigns supreme in the US. There is so much more it would take forever to get it all.
I love Cadbury's but my waistline doesn't 🤣

Cup of warm tea and Lorna Doones is what we bribed my little brother with to play school in the 1950’s. He became a Doctor, so we say if it wasn’t for Lorna Doones and tea who knows what re would have been. We were in the 3 rd grade, but take credit for getting him in the right direction, hahaha 😁😁

If you've never tried Wild Rice, I'd love to send some your way with a little recipe you could employ. It's actually a grass and not a rice but is a staple in a few states here in the US. You'd need consommé and some cream of mushroom soup, along with either chicken breasts or diced chicken.

When I lived in Scotland, I loved any Cadbury chocolate. Cadbury eggs were great; better than the ones we have here. I know my kids loved the Smarties candy in Scotland. My daughter loved small white chocolate bars; I have forgotten the name since we left in 1980. I miss shortbread and sponge cake. (I'm a terrible cook, so I can't make it as well as I remember the taste of the ones we bought.)

I enjoyed very much watching your family try American snacks, I live in Alabama in the deep south and some of my favorites are savory and my wife leans more sweet her favorite candy bar is the zero bar , kind of fudge nuget with nuts covered by white fudge. Mine is called a payday bar caramel covered with salted peanuts. We live near Birmingham where golden flake chips are made.
The Grandma's Oatmeal Raisin Cookies and Peanut Butter cookies are REALLY good! I don't eat chocolate, so I don't like the chocolate chip ones, lol.

I actually make my own shortbread because I prefer that to the store-bought shortbread you find here in America although we have some places to do fantastic fruit scones.

I enjoyed seeing your family, they are adorable. Yes, a lot of sugar, but many you can also get sugar free. I like nuts, granola bars, and potatoe chips and dips. My mom loves those Veggie Sticks, get a large bag for under $5 and last her a long time.

@@TheDonsChannel how are our snacks different? I get interested in different areas of our world 🌎 🙂 and how each place does things differently. For example I live in Texas and carry a gun everywhere I go… even to work… we have donut 🍩 shops. Cookie shops, coffee shops with pretzel 🥨 snacks.
