Hi Rick, fellow Kawi triple & big fours enthusiast here that likes your bike! Suggestion, assuming the clutch is adjusted properly to begin with and that the clutch hasn’t been slipping for a long time prior burning up & warping the clutch plates to do the following easy inexpensive fix. Scott I found that when you get the clutch slip under load in higher gears on the triples like yours does that when I install Spectro Clutch Saver 10w-30 trans oil (avail online from Dennis Kirk, ebay or from local bike shop that sells spectro oil) for wet clutch bikes it stops the clutch slip after you put approx 25-30 miles on the bike to get the the new oil fully soaked into all the clutch plates. Happy motoring!
