Love your sugar paste decorations but it would help if you give give approximate weight of sugar paste for each arm, leg, head etc I know some sugar animals start with a ball size for each part of the body. I shall give the unicorn a try although may struggle with the finer bits like eyelashes and tail etc.
Hello I love your videos soooo much I was just wondering once you create something with fondant how do you store it so it won’t get messed up... or how long can you let it sit once is done??? Thanksss In advance
Great video ! But i have 2 questions please, Can I use fondant with tylo or modelling paste will be better ? Also can I do it 5 days ahead or will it crack ? and finally how can I attach it to the cake if it is dry on the day. Thank you :)
Is molding paste same as fondant?umm NO!!so y would you have HOW TO MAKE A FONDANT UNICORN??HMM I THINK U SHOULD CHANGE YOUR TITLE HUN.. but nice work 🙏
If you add a bit of tylo into fondant it would work the same way. There isnt really much difference between fondant and modelling paste apart from the fact modelling paste is slightly firmer...I think the title is just fine =)

Body would have been approx 40g and head around 30g x
I’ve never tried anything like this before but your instructions were great and my unicorn turned out better than I could have dreamed of. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Thanks so much I really enjoyed watching it was so relaxing thank you 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
So pretty. Do you use sugar paste? My fondant sinks and my figures all look squat.
hey shelley, i use modelling paste, usually renshaws modelling paste. You could always put tylo in your sugar paste which would firm it up x

fondant is mainly sugar so it will last a while. I usually store mine in a cake box to stop them getting dusty =)
That's a very cute unicorn...🦄I love it...
Thanks x
Thank U so much sure I am gonna to make it...
Most welcome 😊

Thank you :)
hey, yes you can use tylo with fondant. You can make it in advance it shouldn't crack as long as its supported properly...s x
I used fondant with out anything added will it collapse or will it be ok?
I would recommend adding in some Tylo, or leaving the body to firm up over night as the head can cause the body to squash out a little bit x
Bloody awesome, quick and simple... love it!
Thanks x
Does the body section to be fully or partially dry before fixing the head section ?
no it doesnt. It should support itself if using modelling paste x
@@CakeNation I was using homemade gumpaste. So with this do i have to let them dry?
if you add tylo then by the time you have done the legs and arms and the head the body will be dry enough to attach the head x
@@CakeNation Thanks u so much for your reply ❤️😍
What do you use to “glue” together the pieces?
I just use water. Although some prefer to use sugar glue. Sometimes with Saracino no glue or water is needed and it will just stick together x
@@CakeNation thank you 😊
