That's the mod that fooled EVERYONE! A member in the community called HaydenStudios made a mod about a "secret 4th ending" and it genuinely fooled so many people, myself included!!
It's very easy!! On your way to the last cave, all you have to do is not talk to Momorin. You'll have to beat the game with no Booster, but it is a "different ending" technically, with unique credit screen art, too! If it wasn't obvious, it's a slightly harder version of the Normal Ending

I know killing Misery first, then Sue is a common strategy but I don't know how often I have died trying to do that... Beating Hell with 3HP felt easier...
I wish I could help, but I'm the wrong person to ask for straets! I'm insanely casual as far as playing the game, despite my knowledge on the game itself, haha. There's even a running joke of just how INCREDIBLY bad I am on PC because keyboard controls lol

The challenges are insane though, I did Wind Fortress with S Rank but Boss Rush and Blood Stained Sanctuary are going to be rough... And I played the game on keyboard almost 2 decades ago which was horrendous for my hands so currently I am playing with a controller.

I figured the holiday changes only effected the characters, I didn't know the levels got major palette swaps too, that's pretty cool.
In the Wii & DS version I believe it only effects Quote's Sprite.

The holiday events for cave story are always neat, had fun with cave story for years and always great to replay and on the holidays ^^
I love them, and it seems like everybody I know at least, appreciates them a lot! I especially gotta play the game every April 29th, haha

Do these events happen every year? And are they the same every year? Never knew these existed.
It goes based of your console/PCs internal clock! If you manually change it, you can trigger these events every time!
