Yeah, it took listening to the explicit version to understand her place in the song. Then I realized she's the subtle part. 😅
Oh, and another thing- props to JK for performing this live. I know we all expect him to sing live, but the construction of this makes this a reeeeeally hard as a song to sing live, even if we were just standing still. There is no space within the phrasing to catch your breath and gather yourself to keep going -a bit similar to that Kid Laroi/Bieber number. They’ve deliberately layered and run the phrasing together, which world great for the pace and excitement on a studio recording, but is a nightmare to try to navigate in a live performance!

@@TheChampOfMedium He did a performance for GMA, which was a bit of a disappointment (not because of him) but because the official performance was cancelled for bad weather and they released the soundcheck, which he went all in on still. Then yesterday, he performed live on a UK evening show, which was much more confident. He also did a BBC radio 1 live lounge. You could hear him suffering on the performance of Seven but his cover of an old Oasis track was very smooth, and much more effective. You should check that out. X

This would not be my favourite type of BTS song - you can tell his connection with it is limited to ´I enjoy this and would like to sing it’ - I’ m always gonna prefer the personal compositional connection more. Howeeeever, I’m enjoying the resurgence of the UK garage sound for nostalgic reasons.

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Glad to see u back. This song was cute and catchy. I think he showed us some new vocal color too. He pulled a Taemin to me. He really said I AM A MAN NOT A BABY. Lord. lol. If u read the lyrics carefully the clean version not that clean. But when u heard the explicit version 0.0 oh hell yeah he did it. Said the f word and went high like orgasm high. 0.o eep. U missed the metaphor with all the chaos around them mirroring their troubled relationship. Anitra @Saywhatreacts spotted it off the bat. DG Reacts went deep with it and i really liked his take. He was so thorough. Loved that train of thought they showed. Hope u watch the performance video as well and the 3 live stages he did at GMA's. There’s some great comments about what is happening in the MV and I’m fully in the camp that it is showing that while the world might feel like it is falling down or trying to drown her, he is there ready to support her even when she lashes out at him. He will wait until she is ready, hence the ending of it is her that reaches out her hand and only then does he touch her. Consent baby! He said that the MV is about what people go through in a relationship and, yeah, so much of it can be angry words caused by outside pressures in life, but the real ones in your life are the ones there to support and wait for you. They don’t minimise your anger.
