Hello. I'm a 61 year old New Zealand man. I think this is the best band in the world. I've just cruised live The National and ditto Queens of the Stone Age. Pretty dull, frankly. The secret ingredients here are passion, brains and superb chops. Did I mention passion. Merci beaucoup to Adam for taking the trouble to share this, pal. much appreciated. Cheers

Amazing footage, thank you! the mix is totally off, Carrie's vocals are way too high.
anyone else think their setlist is weirdly Carrie-heavy too? what's the deal?

Great set, though! Entertain is my one of my favorite songs and they rocked the hell out of it. I love it whenever they cover Fortunate Son--it feels like they could have written that song, so powerful.
Yeah, their set-list is a little Carrie-heavy. I think they've tended in this direction (or been pushed?) because she's gotten famous for other stuff. One thing that bugs me from what I've read about them online recently is that occasionally people have referred to Carrie as the "frontwoman" of S-K, which is utterly unfair--I mean, Corin...? Carrie is amazing and I love her, don't get me wrong, but when I saw them this winter, as soon as Corin opened her mouth I could tell where the center of energy was onstage.

awoolperson anyone who thinks Carrie is the lead of S-K is a total idiot and doesn't know anything.
I have been thinking a lot about this. I think the New Years Eve setlist was probably exactly how they wanted to phrase things. I did think that Call the Doctor was missing on New Year's Eve though. Did you see the video on Facebook about Corin's gay pride? That might be why they played call the doctor.
But why didn't they play the fox instead of Entertain or Jumpers? normally the split is 50-50 at least or more Corin. I feel like somebody told them they had to play Jumpers and Entertain. They knew they were playing to an unfamiliar audience and that Carrie's voice is more approachable. Maybe?
I was expecting S-K v2 to show some bias toward Carrie but I feel like overall it hasn't happened - except this one time - maybe. it's pointless speculation.
anyway overall a little bit of a weird set.

Rosemarie Radford I am bummed that Corin has been marginalized or discarded somewhat. If I wanted 2/3 of the band, I'd ask for Wild Flag back.

Rosemarie Radford also could someone ever film from Corin's side of the stage? That would be great.
