RIP Edgar Froese. I heard them play this live in Atlanta Georgia around 1988 and was just blown away. I will be playing Tangerine Dream all weekend. Underwater Sunlight here I come.
Everybody does the Rising Sun, but not everybody does it like TD. Being A fan of TD I must admit I never heard of this one until now, but better later than never...
Earlier I tought Geordie's (Brian Johnson singing) version about this old classic is the best ever done but I hadn't heard Dangerines Dream's version earlier. Now I think THAT IS the best ever done!!!
Stop pandering to people who don't appreciate YOUR music. I saw them do a Doors song, and although it was well done, it had no business on that stage with that band.
Well they or he didn't & it brought in a larger audience to listen to their old classic's as well as the many other lineups & how many different versions of Stratosphere? & other compositions if you only like their virgin label stuff than just listen to that. Tangerine Dream has probably produced more than any other band & Edgar just kept going right to the end & still produced studio material realised independently that's more inline with there original virgin material, maybe if you weren't so bogged down with what you don't like you may have looked into that, or were you scratching your head in the record stores wondering where TD went to?
They're back to doing long 70s style sessions during their concerts, they're pretty great. I didn't like the lineup from the video either, but their present one is pretty great and "Raum" is a great album.

Super..👍👍👍👍👍⚘✌⚘💚🤔
Amazing that this is the same band (in name at least) who made Zeit. I'll go back to my 70s TD and stop after Stratosfear or so.
yup
Super.👍👍👍👍⚘💚👍🤔👤
Good!
Is the entire audience dudes? Am I the only woman who like TD?
Did you just assume their genders :)
@1'00 wtf a timecode display???
I believe it's Zlatko Perica.

Stop pissing on other people's parades.
Edgar had the absolute right to decide what music was played on HIS stage :o)
Garbahj-an elegant way to say "garbage." I hate this lineup, saw them twice. They should have retired when Chris Franke left.
