Thanks Will, you make every book sound like something I absolutely need to read. thanks for letting me into the club of correct pronouncers too. I'd like to both read and display this :)
I finished Szalay's Spring a few days ago and absolutely loved it. My favourite thing about it was how complex, interesting and just so real his characters felt, so the idea of a whole book themed around that is incredibly exciting. Also thank you for telling us how to pronounce his surname - I will have to go back to all the people I've been recommending him to and correct myself!!
+Hannah Gregory Don't worry Hannah, left alone I would never have guessed that pronunciation in a million years. We both got there in the end! So glad you loved Spring. I have a copy of that and London and the South-East on my pile now. He's just brilliant isnt he.
Intrigued by your comments & now that I can pronounce the surname I'll give this a go. Might also try & get my 19 year old son to read it to ascertain if the younger male thoughts are accurate. Not sure that he'll tell his mother! We might need separate copies!
I found myself literally repeating 'Szalay' aloud while watching your video haha Sounds like a very unique book. It would be interesting to make a comparison with my idea of what it would be like to be a man and think about how European men and men in my country are different/similar, though I hardly know much about the latter either because I am not a man :) (And the cover is just amazing!)
Hey! I went up to Amazon to get a hold of this book but unfortunately couldn't find any in Canada. I would be thrilled to win one copy of this book! Thanks!! X
+Buyi Zhu It's actually not published until Thursday 7 April. If it's not showing on Amazon in Canada then it may not be available there. There's always The Book Depository (with free worldwide shipping)
