I remember being up there when they had the set up. I wasnt allowed in certain areas and they had signs up warning us about fake dead bodied lol. Unfortunately they must have cleared them away because i didnt see any that day. Great film though and good video
Thanks Gaz, yes, they closed off a fair bit of the area during filming. Another crew has been there recently filming part of the next series of The Witcher...its a popular film location now :)

A place and a walk I have been doing since I was a kid, usually from Middle in Teesdale to Low Force and then up to High Force, although, I must admit I did not know the film had been filmed there. I have not watched 1917 yet but watching this really wants to make me watch it now! Cheers Alan
The locations shown in the film are so beautiful, I wish to visit them one day, Sir, can you please tell me something about the location where the D company or the Devons was stationed in trench - their first wave. The place where Capt. MacKenzie was found, what is that location, greenery all around! Beautiful!
Great work i have done the location just before this scene the one where corporal schoffield is crossing the metal bridge then is been shot at by the german sniper check it out on my youtube guys
Nice video if u go on my channel i done a video of the part where schoffield is jumping on the bridge and being shot at by the sniper was filmed just along from my house

They used Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire for some of the trench scenes.

I also done the 1917 filming location shot in glasgow at the docks the scene before he jumps into the river check it out on my channel
