  • Can the dead speak to the living? One of Satan's biggest deceptions in the end times is spiritualism. He will work with false signs and miracles to deceive people into thinking the dead can communicate with the living. The fact that most Christian's believe there is life immediately after death despite the Bible teaching the opposite proves the devils plan is working. Watch and listen to Pastor Mark Finley

Yes, the body sleeps, but the spirit does not. This is one of 7th Day Adventure's deceptive teachings. It's true that dead people's spirits don't communicate with the living, but they don't sleep in the grave either. Was the parable that Jesus spoke about the Richch man and Lazarus (Luke 16) based on lies? Didn't HE say that Lazarus died and the Angles carried him away to Abraham's bosom who is not also sleeping in his grave?

    • @chrishamilton3241
      @chrishamilton3241 3 года назад +1

The spirit is not something separate from us we are living souls and what is a living soul according to the Bible? The body (dust of the ground) + the breath of life (spirit) = a living soul. So therefore when a person dies they are truly dead because death is the reverse of that we don’t love on after death as some ghost and God is very clear where we go when we die that is to the (dust of the ground) where we were made from, the body goes back to (dust) and the spirit ruwach breath of life goes back to God who have it and that persons ceases to be until the resurrection simply because they are asleep as Jesus says.
[Gen 2:7] And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
[Gen 3:19] In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
[Ecclesiastes 12:7] Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
So your assertion that sda is false because they believe something that is clearly taught in the Bible is absurd and very ignorant of you to say something like that because you provided literally no proof for your claim.
Also you mention the parable of the rich man and Lazarus as if it’s some type of proof supporting the false idea that the dead aren’t really dead but still conscious in death but what you fail to realize is that it is a “parable” and is not a literal event that took place and according to the Strong’s definition a parable is a fictitious story made to bring about a point, so obviously Jesus was illustrating a point to the Pharisees because they were just like you who believe that the dead are still somehow conscious even though they died.
      parabolē:
From G3846; a similitude (“parable”), that is, (symbolically) fictitious narrative (of common life conveying a moral), apoth gm or adage: - comparison, figure, parable, proverb.
As an example of a fictitious parable, that is, a story that is not necessarily true, or true to reality, we consider the story of the talking trees:
      [Judges 9:8-15]
      (8) The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us.
      (9) But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
      (10) And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and reign over us.
      (11) But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?
      (12) Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and reign over us.
      (13) And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
      (14) Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, and reign over us.
      (15) And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow: and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.
Obviously trees don’t talk. Yet trees were used in the story to point not only to the lesson that people sometimes settle for the worst, as when the men of Shechem chose Abimelech for their king, a man who killed his brothers, Jerubbaals sons, who before had fought for them (verse 17); but also includes a prediction of a future event (compare verse 15 with verses 49 and 54), two elements which were often included in Jesus’ parables.
      A parable, therefore, can be:
      (1) a true story
      (2) an untrue story with common reality objects and scenarios
      (3) a fictitious story with unrealistic scenarios
All conveying a lesson and sometimes a prophecy.
Just prior to this story, and the ones before it, we read:
      [Luke 14:25]
(25)And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
Note first that in his presence were great “multitudes.” Following the construction and flow of the following verses up to the end of the story of the Rich man and Lazarus, we find no indication that theses people departed from him. In fact, the groups seemed to have enlarged:
      [Luke 15:1-2]
      (1) Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.
      (2) And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
After speaking to the first multitude that came to him (Luke 14:26-35), his audience is enlarged to include what Luke describes as “publicans and sinners.” It’s important to note this point, for we read in Matthew that:
      [Matthew 13:34-35]
      (34) All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
      (35) That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
To his disciples in privet he often spoke plainly (Mark 4:10), but when it came to multitudes he spoke in parables (Mark 4:11). This is the first indication that this was a parable.
Between Luke 15 verse 1 and the end of Luke 16 we have a consecutive flow of stories, five of them to be exact, which began with these words:
      [Luke 15:3]
      (3) And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
Here’s the second indication that it was a parable. There is no break between stories. Jesus did not move off to another location; he did not yet rest from teaching, nor did the multitude, to which he always spake in parables, yet depart. In fact, just before he speaks the story of the Rich man Lazarus, we read that the Pharisees were still present (Luke 16:14), a group which was a part of that great multitude (Luke 15:2). Note that they were still angry at his words, perhaps even more at this point.
So far, by the surrounding context alone, we find clues that the story of the Rich man and Lazarus was a parable and not meant to be taken literally just like the others.
So do yourself a favor and instead of coming on here to call SDA’S false go and read and study your bible because you are clearly blinded with that gnostic teachings of the immortality of the soul.

@@chrishamilton3241 what about the thief on the cross , Jesus told him LUKE 23:43, " this day you will be with me in paradise"

    • @chrishamilton3241
      @chrishamilton3241 3 года назад

@@powerhouseofprayerministri1597 The place or destination for both the thief and Jesus is called “Paradise,” originally a Persian word meaning “enclosure, park, garden.” The Greek version of Genesis 2:8-10, 16 (LXX) uses that same word (paradeisos) for the Garden of Eden. The word is found two other times in the New Testament. In 2 Corinthians 12:2 Paul says that he was taken in vision to the third heaven, located by him in “Paradise” (verse 4), the place where God dwells. In Revelation 2:7 “Paradise” is the place where the tree of life is located. Those who overcome will have access to that place and to the tree of life. Nowhere in the Bible is “Paradise” a place where the righteous immediately go after death. It is clearly a place where the resurrected righteous will go to be with Christ and the Father, and to have access to the tree of life.
And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
4 How that he was caught up into “paradise”, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the “paradise” of God.
According to the biblical record, Jesus did not go to Paradise after His death (Acts 2:31; Matt. 12:40). Jesus was buried and remained in the tomb until His resurrection, at which time He appeared to Mary, stating that He had “not yet ascended to My Father” but that now He was “ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God” (John 20:17). The obvious implication is that He could not have promised the thief that He would be with him in Paradise on Friday.
31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
Hell meaning the grave according to Strong’s “Hades”
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
“In the heart of the earth” the Grave.
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Besides, Jesus and the thief did not die at the same time. The biblical record indicates that Jesus died Friday before sunset (John 19:33). When Jesus died, the thief was still alive, and his legs were broken. It usually took several days for those who were crucified to die.
33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
Now what is the meaning of the word “Today”
In general, the interpretation of this text is related to the question of the comma: Should it be placed before “today” (“I tell you the truth, today you will be . . .”), or after “today” (“I tell you the truth today, you will be . . .”)? The first reading is the most common among interpreters who believe in the immortality of the soul. The idea is that immediately after his death the soul of the thief would be with Christ in Paradise. Commas were added to the Greek text in the fifteenth century A.D.; Luke did not use a comma. Therefore he could have meant “I say to you today, you will be with Me in Paradise.” This suggestion is supported by a similar use of the term “today” in the Old Testament in the context of solemn promises: “I command you today . . .” (Deut. 30:16); “I announce to you today that you will surely perish” (verse 18). “Today” introduces a solemn statement. This fits the fact that Jesus was not in Paradise immediately after He died. He was solemnly promising the thief that he will enjoy salvation with Christ in Paradise after the resurrection.
16 In that I command thee today to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
18 I denounce unto you today, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
This interpretation flows also from the use of the adverb “today” in the Gospel of Luke. Jesus uses it to indicate that salvation is already available through Christ today (Luke 2:11; 4:21; 5:26; 19:9). This is the “today” of salvation. In that case Jesus was telling the thief that the moment of the cross is the moment of salvation, and that he will participate of it in Paradise. The text is not dealing at all with the intermediate state, but with the saving power of the cross.
11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.
21 He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
26 Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They were filled with awe and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.”
9 Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Elisa, to say that the spirit doesn't sleep nor dies is saying that it has immortality but the bible tells us that God only has immortality, 1 Tim. 6:15 & 16. The story about Lazarus and the rich man is a parable and not to be taken literal. If you knew and understood what the bible really teaches you would know that but it seems like you have been deceived into believing he lies of Old Satan by the Sunday preachers. There is no such place as a hell where GoD nor the Devil tortures sinners thru all of eternity, that is a pagan doctrine and is not biblical. The bible tells us that the wages of sin is DEATH not eternal life in hell, the righteous are the only one promised eternal life, that hell theory again is a pagan doctrine along with the theory that when we die we go straight to Heaven or Hell is a pagan doctrine. All of the dead will sleep in the grave until Jesus returns then the righteous dead will be resurrected and go to Heaven with Jesus but the wicked dead will not be resurrected until the end of the 1000 years reign of Christ in Heaven then Jesus will bring the New Jerusalem and all of the righteous back to earth where He will resurrects the wicked along with Old Satan and all of his wicked angels and cast them into the Lake of Fire, but that is not a place where they will be tortured thru all of eternity, because the fire will go out when all of the wicked is completely consumed as in DEAD, no life in they, Ashes under the soles of our feet. Mal. 4:3, So yes you have been deceived into believing the Lies of Old Satan by the Sunday preachers.
Elisa if you really want to learn what the bible actually teaches then find a Seventh Day Adventist Church and join it and you will learn what the bible actually teaches not this false and pagan doctrines taught by the Sunday preachers.

I'm a christian and know that the holy spirit will tell you what is wrong. One example for me is when I listened to different stories about haunted people in homes, woods, etc. then the holy spirit told me that this is not good because listening too much of these stories will invite evil spirits. I promised to God that I will stop this and so I did. Why is this important? It has to do with what Jesus said about protecting our hearts.

Pope Francis is trying to accomplish this right now by having nations around the world adopting ordinances to observe Sunday as the Sabbath, in an attempt to "stop" climate change. Well these efforts are going to fail because: #1 Sunday is not the Sabbath, Saturday is according to Exodus 20:8-11 & Deuteronomy 5:12-15. #2 climate change was predicted in the Bible and is also part of God's plan. But a time is coming when church and state will unite and they'll be one world religion and a single bodied government system with economic, political and religious power, the Anti Christ. As of right now, the technology to force people to accept the "Mark of the Beast" mentioned in Rev 13 exists. It's in the form of a cashless currency system called cryptocurrency. Payment systems such as Paypal, Apple Pay, credit cards and debit cards are just a few examples of cryptocurrency. When all of these things happen, then the Tribulation Period will begin. I personally believe that the Papal Power of Rome will be the Anti Christ. We are certainly living in the last days and the Devils plans are slowly coming to fruition and also much of the prophesy of Matt 24 is also being fulfilled. We could very well be the last generation of earth's history. God bless and happy Sabbath.

@Shannon Anderson... When studying the Bible, always study it in context (understand what the verses around it are saying), and compare it to other verses addressing the same subject.
Read this statement in its context.
"For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house
not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed
with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found
naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed,
but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for
this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body
and to be present with the Lord." (1Corinthians 5:1-8)
Notice Paul is writing about the exchange of this temporary earthly body for our new eternal body. He writes of this exchange later in his description of Jesus' second coming, when we will be given new bodies... and "always be with the Lord".
"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed- 52 in a moment, in the
twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible,
and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality."
      (1 Corinthians 15:51-53)
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet
of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one
another with these words." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)
I hope this helps. May God Bless you!

@Living With Jesus...Paul's statement is, "We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body
and to be present with the Lord." (1Corinthians 5:8) I have only seen this statement in one place.
When read in context (1Corinthians 5:1-8), it appears Paul is talking about exchanging our earthly bodies for eternal bodies at the resurrection. I agree that he was probably thinking about all the abuse his "body of death" endured! And I also believe he was thinking of his vision, written about in 2 Corinthians 12:1-7, while he wrote this.

Fredicca Jesus, God, cannot change His laws, ten commandments, he said until earth and Heaven pass away not one letter shall fail. I don;t believe that the Earth nor Heaven has passed away yet so the ten commandments still stands which includes the seventh day sabbath, Saturday,
Will you be saved if you don't love Jesus? Jesus said If you love me keep my commandments. So are you keeping His commandments all ten of them. 1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. so do you love Jesus or are you a liar and the truth not in you. Jesus is the TRUTH.

Fredericca, Jesus said in Matthew 5:17-19. "17. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 19. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
God cannot go against the law because it is the transcript of his character.

The soul is not a separate entity from the body, you are a living soul right now because the breath of life from God is still in your nostril. But when God decides to take back that breath of life that he lends to you , you become a dead soul, “ The soul that sinneth , it shall die . Ezekiel 18:20.
See, when God created man , it has only two components; 1. Dust from the ground, 2. God’s breath of life. = a living soul. At death, the breath of life is separated from the body , and that breath of life returns to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12: 7 “ Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was : and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” The word “ SPIRIT “ is “ PNEUMA “ in Greek meaning air , breath, exhalation, wind , example pneumatic tools or air tools. Psalms 104: 29 “ Thou hidest thy face , they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.”

In this translation the soul literal means the breath of life that goes back to the one who gave it, God, Man doesn't have an immortal soul, the bible tells us that God only has immortality.1 Tim 6:15 & 16. The theory that man's soul is immortal and goes back to spend time with God is a pagan doctrine and is not biblical, the breath of life is what goes back to God not a living soul. Some bibles translates that as , And man became a living being,

Christianity is of and is Christ. Christianity doesn't and cannot lie because Christ does not lie. When “Christianity” lies it is a sure sign it isn't genuine Christianity but a counterfeit. Regardless of the soundness of the message, the title gives a strong although false argument to the enemies of Christianity especially that it says that this is only one of many great lies of Christianity. Spiritualism is not Christianity and has nothing to do with Christianity. Spiritualism is of Satan the father of lies (John 8:44). The title would better be “One of Satan's biggest lies".

From where did Lazarus come, or the others resurrected? I do not think we can absolutely distill this as a absolute? I think it IS clear that we are not to engage in necromancy.

@stuart thompson...When read in context (1Corinthians 5:1-8, and 1Corinthians 15:51-53), it appears Paul is talking about exchanging our earthly bodies for eternal bodies at the resurrection.
"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed- 52 in a moment, in the

      (1 Corinthians 15:51-53)

I respect you pastor but I am confused. Ligonier ministries teaches that your soul is present with God when you leave this world. The dead know nothing could refer to the flesh in the ground. Sleeping could also refer to the flesh. For every educated preacher that reads and teaches from the word of God, there is 100 educated Pastors on here who teach the total opposite. They cannot return home is correct. What reason would they have to? If the soul is with the Lord I would assume they are focused on his Glory. So many people have experienced seeing Jesus or loved ones after being declared dead and the Lord allows them to return. At hospice the ones who are near death experience smiling and reaching for someone. Those who are able to talk claim they see their loved ones as they are passing.. I respect you Pastor and I am not here to try and dispute your teachings. I am a younger man who is suffering from confusion on this matter.. please don’t see this as me trying to go against your teachings.. I welcome all comments and hopefully I can set my mind at ease

Hi Brian, this is not a matter of what one theologian says and what the other says. We stick to the Bible. Nowhere in the Bible will you find that the soul returns to God when a person dies. Ecclesiastes 12:7 says that the Spirit returns to God who gave it but many people think that Spirit is soul but when you look at the Hebrew word it is the same word for breath. It is breath that God gave that returns to him.
Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Man becomes a living soul only when the the dust of the ground is combined with breath. Soul is not something that is existent without the body. This is bible's understanding of the what man is.
The idea that body and soul are two different entities is a platonic philosophy of man. It is not found in the Bible. Unfortunately much of evangelical theology is built on this philosophy but this body soul dichotomy is not found in the Bible.

Jesus said if you have faith in God, you are not dead. You are alive. Even though you are dead physically, you are alive in heaven. So, saints can intercede for us since our prayers are offered to God. The prayer of the righteous is very powerful and heard by God. When two persons agree on something in Jesus name, Jesus is there and it will be done for them by the Father God.

Jesus never said such a thing you are clearly twisting the verse to fit your notion that is not there if Jesus said such a thing he would not only contradict himself but all the other inspired prophets. Where in he Bible does it say that a dead person can intercede?

John 11:25-27 Jesus said to her, " I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will live, even though they die; 26 and those who live and believe in me will never die. Do you believe this?" 27 "Yes, Lord!" she answered. "I do believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who was to come into the world."
Revelation 5: 8 As he did so, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each had a harp and gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God's people.

@@juvydeguzman4301 that text is in no way saying that the dead are alive, Jesus is rather telling Mary that even though a person who believes in him dies they would again be raised to life at the last day to receive their reward of immortality, in other words Jesus is plainly saying that those who believe in him would not be hurt of the “second death” eternal death referred to in revelation 20 of which Paul says sin leads too.
[John 5:28-29] Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
The righteous comes forth from their graves not from heaven or some realm of disembodied spirits, they are given back the breath of life again and once again are “living souls”
The text is no way saying that when a person dies they don’t really die but ascend to heaven as you are trying to imply.
[Daniel 12:2] And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
When a person dies they sleep in dust of the ground the (grave) until they are called forth for their rewards were righteous or wicked, by saying that Jesus said that the dead aren’t dead you are basically calling him a liar because he himself said that Lazarus sleeps in the tomb the disciples didn’t understand what he meant by that so he plainly said Lazarus is dead, notice he didn’t say Lazarus is in heaven now with my father and the angels as you are trying to imply, he said “Lazarus is dead “meaning he isn’t living again, the proceeded to call Lazarus from the grave he said Lazarus come forth not come down from heaven.
[John 11:11-14] These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.
14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
Martha understood this, and this is why she said I know he will rise again at the” last day” because she clearly understood that the dead would be raised to life again at the last day (the end of the world) but little did she know that Christ was about to resurrect him now. Obviously Lazarus died again and is asleep waiting the resurrection which is unto eternal life in which he will never die again. This is the context of the verses you quoted which says nothing about going straight to haven at death.
[John 11:23-27] Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.
24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
[John 11:39-45] Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.
Absolutely nothing about going straight to heaven at death.

*** This is what Jesus said to one of the criminals hanging with him on the cross***
Ephesians 2:6 In our union with Christ Jesus he raised us up with him to rule with him in the heavenly world.
The one you said that the dead will raised on the Day of Judgment is when they will be given a heavenly body and the mortal man will become immortal and will never die.( 1 Corinthians 15: 51-52 ). They will be allowed to drink the water of life ( Revelation 21: 6) and to eat from the fruit of the tree of life ( Revelation 22: 14 ). They will live in the new Jerusalem where there were no lamp or sun to give light but its the Lord God which serves as light. The fruit from the tree of life gives immortality and the leaves are for the healing of the nations. No more God's curse to be found in the city. But outside the city are liars and evil people.

A dead person's spirit cannot communicate with the living. When a person dies their spirit goes to one of two places, heaven or hell as revealed by Lord Jesus in Luke 16: 19-31). Before Jesus died, when believers in God died physically their spirits were carried to a place in the spirit world called paradise (AKA Abraham's Bosom). When Jesus died physically he entered paradise, preached salvation to its occupants and took them to heaven. After Jesus's resurrection, the spirits of believers in Jesus who die physically are carried to heaven (absent from the body, present with the Lord).
The dead which some people think actually communicates with the living are "familiar spirits," i.e. evil spirit(s) that have monitored a dead person during their lifetime and knows a lot about the person. Evil spirits hate all mankind and that is why people are warned not to consult mediums and psychics (some might be frauds but some might actually contact evil spirits which was familiar with the person who died). Be warned: If you give an opening to evil it will enter.
People who die physically enter the spirit realm (heaven or hell). They are alive in the spirit realm but can no longer communicate with the physical realm.

That is a pagan doctrine and is not biblical. There is no such place as a hell where God or the Devil tortures sinners thru all of eternity The bible tells us that God only has immortality. 1 Tim. 6:15 & 16. Go back and watch the video it enplanes everything very well because you need to understand this so you don't bear false witness.
