    Holley says they are the same depth as the original bulb and installation is simple, not requiring any special wiring. That is a big plus for me as I will be replacing stock headlight on a 1965 Mustang. Great presentation👍

    Ironically...the only bulb to have let go so far on my 94 has been one of the liscence plate bulbs...I've been waiting 28yrs for others to fail...just can't pull the trigger on the perfectly "functional" bulbs that are still working well-ish...
    Still waiting...
    Informative Update! 👊

    This is great. I would love something like this for my Brainstorm lo-rise headlights.

    I love the look but can't justify almost 500 after shipping, I'll just go with some cibies and good h4 bulbs

    Are they Made in U.S.A.?

    I wish you'd show the Holleys driving at night from inside the car on a curvy road and a highway, both high beam and low beam please!

      Just type "Holley Retrobright" in RUclips and you'll find plenty of videos. Maybe not Miata specific, but the 7" one will perform the same no matter the car.

      We really like this addition to a classic style. The best of both worlds!

    Do you still recommend removing the black rubber trim from the leading edge of the headlight receptacle? Is there a fuzzy brush or felt style replacement trim that could fill that gap and not scratch the lens?

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  7 месяцев назад +1

      You can either pry out the three plastic rivets and remove the flap or trim the flap instead. You will want to make sure that the flap does not contact the lens at any point in the headlight travel. We don't suggest anything that could scratch the new lens. If it's soft and fuzzy now, it won't be in a month.

    The Holley RetroBright LED lights says discontinued on the website, will it be discontinued forever or just a couple of months?

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  6 месяцев назад +1

      We discontinued only the "Classic White" option. The "Modern White" option is simply out of stock at the moment.

    Was the Holley high* beam pattern shown in this video? At least the low beam was shown.

      I don't think we did a high beam comparison in this particular video, but we do plan on doing a much more comprehensive headlight comparison in the near future.

    The old look better but led light are so much better but at least closer to original but expensive for lights!

  • @Cletus9

    I love the Holley lights but they are very expensive. You are really just paying for the name over some other companies who have great lights a little cheaper like PIAA

    I wonder if the plastic yellows over time.

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  Год назад

      Yellowing comes from UV exposure. The lens is UV protected to minimize this. In a Miata, the lights are never exposed to the sun unless you drive around with your headlights popped up all the time so there's almost no UV exposure anyhow.

    What is FM's recommendation for a quality set of LED halo headlights??

    • @FlyinMiataVideo
      @FlyinMiataVideo  2 года назад +2

      We have not been happy with any of the halo lights we've tested, so we have nothing we can recommend.

      @@FlyinMiataVideo I’d love to see FM develop something, or maybe retrofit a ring into a quality unit. I want to support FM because I know you care about quality parts and I’ve also been dissatisfied with the offerings I see on the market currently. I’m sure many people in the community feel similarly.

    can I just get the leds and put them in my Hellas?

    • @ericgonzalez8382
      @ericgonzalez8382 2 года назад +1

      You can buy the LEDs separately, but firstly they won't directly fit your Hellas and secondly, Hella reflectors are made for filament/halogen bulbs. Even if you could somehow put the LED in there, the light pattern would be poor and probably blind oncoming traffic. The Retrobright reflectors are custom-made for that specific LED.
