I own a 2014 KTM 300 XCW six days and a 2019 350 XCF and love both of them ! I added a Rekluse and left hand rear brake to both bikes, and this adds another level of control that can't be understated. On the 350 with the idle adjusted, eliminated the flame out. I live in Utah and by far the best trail bike is the 300 !! Everywhere else the 350 is awesome ! great video !
john bailey you called it buddy! The 300’s are the best trail bikes ever! I’ve really enjoyed the 350’s as well! Below is a video we did of the 350 vs. the 300. Fun times! Where in Utah do you live? I lived there for awhile. Still have some family there. We come out every so often. Let’s get a ride in sometime. Have a good one bud! 👍 ruclips.net/video/_PTUUzIiW4g/видео.html
Do you still have the 450 xc and would you still take it over a 350 xc? I'm picking up a 2018 350 FX. Is the 350 alot more agile with the free revving motor?
@@mitchbravo3068 All EFI does is adjust jetting for temperature, humidity, and altitude (leaner at high elevations, richer at low elevations). Any engine will make more power at sea level than it will at 7,000ft. Forced induction (turbochargers/superchargers) are the only way to combat air density. He is commenting on how altitude affects the bikes power due to air being less dense the higher you climb. Since the 450 makes more HP and TQ across the rev range compared to the 350, its engine will feel stronger at higher elevations since it is a stronger engine to begin with.
railduke68 thanks. I really like both of the 4 strokes a lot, but the 300 is just such a great do it all bike! I find myself less worn out over a full day of riding on the 300 vs. the 4 strokes. Personal preference though. 👍
Great video once again bro thanks I think the TX300 is the best choice 💯👍I will never buy a 4 stroke again once anyone gets a chance at riding one they too will see such a simple none complex way too go compared to a 4 stroke motor no timing chain and valves to mess with I like your graphics on your TX300 super clean 👍
Rob W thanks man! Right, the 300’s are so much fun and so easy to maintain! I still like 4 strokes for certain things, but overall the 300 is just so good!
Great review, I totally agree that the 450 pulls harder out of corners.. 350’s seem to fall off where the 450 pulls.. I love my FX450 but it definitely needs a Rekluse.. can’t wait to ride soon!
I wish so badly KTM would just put a 6 speed better geared transmission on the 450xcf. For years people have said "1st gear is too tall, makes it tough when the going gets tight" and year after year they haven't done it. Drives me bonkers.
It looks like at that speed on those tight trails a 250xcf would work better. its much lighter and more playful. If your riding big hill climbs then the 450 is bad ass.
I just don't get why they put the SX trans in the 450 xcf... That's a big turn off for me. Some guys are dropping in a 6th gear, but 1st and 2nd are still going to be tall. Does the 350 have semi wide ratio trans like the 300 xc? Maybe the 450 just has too much grunt for the low gearing and it would just spin the rear wheel. Idk

What does elevation matter when both are fuel injected? Isn't that the point of fuel injection?
Myron Woodruff it doesn’t when you are EFI, I don’t no why he keeps saying that.

I'm glad you added the 300 comments at the end. I was curious about the 450 vs 300.👍

My buddy had a KTM Xcf 350 I didn’t like it didn’t have enough power for me
