I love that you saved the little fish. And thanks for adding the not-quite-finds section at the end. I hope your headless man and cow turns out to be something interesting!
The stone in the ring looks like a agate or a cornelia stone to me, I believe in the good karma theory I always pick up rubbish whilst out fossil hunting and the fossil gods always shine back at me! When I get my my mudlarking licence I will probably be picking litter up along the foreshore too. Good work!!! 👍🌍 ☯️
On a trip to Mexico, while visiting underground water caves, we were forbidden to carry any electronics, including mobile phones, due to the danger of them slipping into the water and their batteries and chemicals contaminating the water. The indigenous people use it as their main water supply. We also had to shower and avoid using any chemical products.
It's a shameful situation that people dump with no care for the environment the wildlife and marine life Great video as always Si..Interesting finds as well, especially the headless man and cow,it looks like a flat back ornament..Thanks for the video as always.😀🤗
Some very nice finds, Si, I absolutely love the ring! And the statue of the man and cow was neat, too. And always, got to love those buttons! Thanks for a great video!
Love the video 😊 Unfortunately Si some people just don't care about the environment and just throw their trash wherever they feel like. I always take a bag with me now when I bushwalk or go to the beach and pick up the rubbish that is lying around; not just to do my bit but to also save our precious wildlife
Lovely finds again. I love watching your videos to see what kinds of history wash up on the Thames forshores. Thank you for picking up trash as well and getting all those chemicals out of our waters. I do the same in Canada, with the lakes and streams where I live. Keep up the good work. Keep us up to date on the headless figure that you found. :)
One of my university students was helping us clear out a lab and picked up a VHS tape and asked me what it was. She'd never seen one before and had no idea what it was.

Mudlarking metal detecting it’s something you would never get bored of because the excitement every time of what you would find and the history attached to it and the Thames foreshore always delivers
If I lived up there I would go as much as I could it fascinates me how over 100 years the history is still there and it makes you wonder who was the last person to handle those treasures they are priceless in there own right
Dear Sir a bravo for the way you make your videos. you have a steady hand and you let us see exactly what you see.you don't wave the camera right and left , so it is as we are there and look over your shoulder.Nice! Thanks.
Hi Si, your videos are fascinating & Im so glad when you say you'll take some rubbish away to put it in the bin. Well done for that. The poor swans & other birds have a lot of hazardous items to avoid
Aw shucks! But amongst all the trash and dubious finds you do discover some super treasures! 👍🐾💰😎 I saw the other day a report that essential metals used to make mobile phones & electronics are becoming quite scarce - so you'd think recycling centers would collect them to harvest the precious metals from them, regardless of condition... Thanks SO much for picking up the garbage - now to convince folk not to trash their environment in the 1st place! 😧✨
Nice One for taking the electrical waste with you, do you bring it to a recycling yard like us over hier? Nice quick finds today, brings happiness into a normal day. Cool music by the way, not my style, but it would be good to work too for me👍

Another great vid Si-finds. Loved the headless cow man and his headless cow. But, why was he wearing a mankini? 😂. Had my first venture a couple of weeks ago, amazing and it’s all your fault... hooked!
Si-finds, Hi-Si, the usual pipe stems and a couple of bowls. But a nice 1948 2 bob bit that looks like it was newly minted. (Such good condition) And a strange coin with a hole (but seemingly not Chinese) that I’ll clean up and post. And I though metal detecting was addictive.... 😳
Did you test the stone in the ring? It looks more like carnelian to me (at 16:27 you can see banding ... indicating a crystal structure not fossilized resin)
Si-finds - I believe carnelian and amber are both semi-precious... I know that there are differences in the quality/color of amber found around the world ... also they are currently crushing lower quality/smaller Amber and then remaking the Amber so they have larger formed pieces to use in cheaper jewelry ... carnelian they aren’t (can’t) do that with... so I can’t really compare the rarity... too many factors... 😁
mary bralj Hi Mary, yes I do take the scrap copper/brass/lead and have taken it to the scrap dealers. But instead of scrap dealers I’d like to use the metal in sculptures
