Get the impression John was a very wise individual. He answered without being cruel or insulting. Honestly, though I don’t want to get political he is not wrong. Very interesting indeed. I think that’s why TPB stuck with me. It allowed me to forget and escape in a way that no show really has- you feel like you’re apart of it. I don’t know if that makes sense.

John Dunsworth was a genius. John portrayed many personalities including several scales of being intoxicated. He was incredibly intelligent, down to earth and a very nice person. Mr. Lahey was a one-of-a-kind character, but it is John will miss so very much. He gave us, his fans and friends, more than we deserve. He paved a path for a journey to a reality that didn't exist that we could imagine ourselves part of in between work, sleep and NOT being incarcerated. LoL! Sorry Pat, but Randy wouldn't be significant without Lahey. John's tours around North America to entertain was 1000% to add. That takes a lot of energy and time. HE spent 16 years sharing his life with us. Thank you John! We love and miss you friend ;-)

But she's right in that, while trailer park boys isn't the worst offender in this category, it still does make the women of the show the side characters. but as a male writer, i do the same thing, its hard to write for the gender you werent born as. however, its still a valid criticism, and it would only make you a better writer if you could write women just as good as men.

LoL! I believe it is more common than most of the "civilized" world believes. My whole family is like the TPB cast. When I first saw the show in 2001 I thought someone was filming in my home town/village. Bubble's wound up his fist when he pretends he's going to punch someone is my uncle. To a T. My cousins were always going to jail for dumb stuff. Eventually my sister as well. LoL!! My parent's were absolutely mental etc. I did a TON of terrible things growing up (from youth till my late 20's) I was lucky to not get a criminal record. But I even spent time behind bars and in court and in the back of cop cars. xD Shitty times. All out of my system before I was 18 luckily. I feel like life would've been insanely boring if I had a normal life though. This show allows me to relive those careless days over and over without getting myself in trouble. Ha ha ha ha

@@CodGeronimo Well of course it is but that's not what Mr.Lahey is talking about here. Like I said..

@@gloom8109 You agree? It didn't come of that way in your first comment, obviously you need some smarts to do something profitable after being given 2 million, but those smarts are unimpressive compared to what you need to make those 2 million honestly in the first place (including a lot of luck). And because of this, an unimaginable amount of peoples creativity will be unrealized because of the money barrier, film-making being the example that Dunsworth used, i think that's the point he was making. I'm really stoned though so maybe i'm just blabbering 😅
