After months of listening to Evangelist Preach. The Holy Spirit revealed to me that things were falling apart in my life because I was harbouring grudges, bitterness and unforgiveness. A few months later I asked the Lord to help me fix things with my parents. I have been living with my parents for the past 4 months and that act of obedience healed me from depression. Each day I practice forgiveness towards myself, family and all transgressors. I am grateful for the gift of forgiveness. The Lord said “Honour your father and mother, that it may be well with you and that you may have long life!” Forgiveness is a powerful tool ❤
I didn't know I held bitter anger in my heart against some men that robbed my family and I in the home we resided in. I wouldn't feel compassion when I saw thieves being beaten on the road. I was a bit nonchalant about it. Then recently the Holy Spirit took me down memory lane to my childhood home robbery experience, which by the way gave me serious PTSD. And I forgave those unknown robbers. About a few weeks ago, I saw a thief that was burnt to death on the street, and I was moved with compassion. Though he died shamefully, I just prayed that his spirit was saved before he died. It was at that moment I knew my deliverance from hatred of thieves was complete.
Father in heaven I make this prayer today, I confess my sins of lying, hating, unforgiving, sexually immorality, adulting, stealing and not having faith. Father I ask you in Jesus Name to heal me from every pain I went through and what I am going through. Father help me to practice what I always say to people. I pray for peace and understanding in Jesus Christ Name Amen 🙏 ❤

I always find myself around people who have unforgiving spirit.. Who at every slightest misunderstanding they tend to bring up things I did in the past, talk about all they have done for me or judge my faith and love for God... And this has kept me on the offensive side... Lord purge me and help me to pass that stage of being moved by what people does especially love ones.. Maybe I expect too much from people, expecting them to be like me and even better... But lately have sat down to think through. I also want a change.. Cos when I'm faced with this situations I become very offensive, most cases rude. And this give rooms to them winning and making it seem I don't love advice.. Lord purge me and change me
Hii Abigail Obong , I totally understand what you are facing, I've been there before as well. I used to have anger and bitterness towards certain people on my life. It was a difficult battle for me , because I know i should not hold grudges or keep records of people's wrong doings because Jesus forgives me freely, no matter what I do to hurt Him and He excepts me to extend this merciful nature to people as well when I'm hurt by them. It used to be a big deal for me to actually forgive people when they offended me , I would retaliate it didn't matter how long it took for an opportunity to present it's self. This was a problem even after I surrendered my heart to the Lord. But all that has changed, now I make efforts to forgive people when ever they hurt me. Though sometimes it's hard , but I have learnt to ask God to forgive those who hurt me. And I noticed that whenever I ask God to forgive them, my heart becomes less burdened and heals faster. So yes, you must back up your prayers with action. Whenever you are in a situation where you're feeling so angry at anyone at all , you can begin to pray in the spirit or just ask the Holy Spirit to help you remain calm so you don't sin in your anger as the bible commands. Ephesians 4 :26 “Be angry, and do not sin” : do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. Also , endeavor to pray to God to forgive the person who has hurt you immediately, even though it might be very painful. This is to ensure you don't give room to the devil to enter your heart and cause bitterness towards the person. Typically when you delay forgiving those who hurt you , you open up your heart to the devil to start a conversation with you. So these had been my fighting strategy towards the spirit of anger snd bitterness. And for almost 5 years now I have been experiencing victory against anger, and it gets better every time. So I'm encouraging you to try these and it'll help.
It may help to find good people who bring out the best in us. No point wasting our precious time trying to fight city hall. Vengeance is mine safety The Lord" Trust Him, all the one's not treating us well are going to pay a high price.
You all missed the point that forgiveness doesn't mean reconciling with people each time. It just means moving on with your life and not seeking vengeance and wishing punishment on the other person.
I can understand how hurt you must have been. I have had people hurt me terribly. I would want to revenge or retaliate but the Holy Spirit wouldn't let me. The times I acted based on my feelings and disobeyed the Holy Spirit, I regretted the aftermath every single time. Ma, remember the Bible says 'we walk by faith and not by sight", "without faith, it is impossible to please God", "Obedience is better than sacrifice" We are not to walk by our feelings. Though it may be hard to forgive, but we do so because God says we should. That’s obedience! Most times all you need is just to open your mouth and say “God forgive this person...” And ask God for healing for your heart that has been hurt. Besides unforgiveness can have its side effect when it’s not dealt with. It can lead to poor health or open the door for the enemy to attack your health or any other aspect of your life. The point is, do not give the enemy room to have permission over your life. Don’t open door for him because of unforgiveness . Also remember, Matthew 6:14-15 says: “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive others their sins, your father will not forgive your sins. Do the needful okay. God bless you.
@Felicia Lartey, I'll start by saying that "Obedience is the Strategy". Just try as much as possible to obey Scriptures. Ephesians 4:31-32, Luke 17:3-4, Mark 11:25, Luke 6:37, Matthew 6:14-16, Colossians 3:13, Matthew 18:21-22, 1Peter 3:9, Luke 23:34, etc.. There is a lot more... When you forgive, it's for your own good because you'll be healed of every wounds in your soul. And at the same time, you're obeying God. I'll share a testimony...
