😳 Mistake When Adding A Gas Can To Your ATV 😱

- In this video I describe how I mounted two Rotopax Gas Cans to my CFmoto Cforce 600 ATV. I also explain why I no longer use this method to carry gas with us on the trails.
For anyone looking for these products I describe in the video. Links are below. However I highly recommend not mounting to the rear of your machine.
NOTE CORRECTION At 4:24 I state the 2 Gallon Can is what broke the rack mount, it was actually the 3 Gallon can mounted to the Large L Bracket Type mount, it was NOT the 2 Gallon can. The 2 Gallon can mounted with the U Bolt Style DIY I shown actually held fast with no issues for months. I removed it from the rear and placed it back on my front rack after almost backing into this can again.

Thanks
I have 2 of those two gallon cans mounted flat on the front rack of my Honda Rubicon. Never had any issues with them.
Yes mounted to the front. This is more geared to the rear as a no no! Thanks!
I put them on the side over the back wheel. Never have a problem OK well except the two times when I ripped them off and destroyed the back rack but besides that I’m fine and that’s over 12 years.
lol “except that one time” same here
Just bought the 600 Touring 2up. Looking for options where/how to carry extra gas with the quad.
Here ya go! I think I also have links to the items in the description! One time I had two mounted to my front rack! Good luck

How do you like the CFmoto 600? I have an arctic cat 425i but it lacks power on the street. I’m a big guy and am looking to upgrade. I’m looking at the 600 or 1000 from CFMOTO.
I like the 600. I’d lean more to the 800 or 1000 though if you’re thirsty for more power. The 600 is great but the 800 and 1000 are a class all it’s own.
Nice Quad. What kind of rear rack storage box do you have in these videos?
In this video I have the CFMoto Rear rack extension and CFMoto branded cargo bag. I ditched that am and now running their Branded cargo box
Hello there, I have the same machine (and have for 2 years now) and the same cargo box you put on at the end of the video. I've recently noticed 4 manufactured pre-pilot holes on either side of the box. Do you think those could be a place to mount the Rotopax tanks with the proper mounts? I can't seem to find anything either way on it. Let me know what you think please. Thanks for the video.
Yes I mounted one to each side. The mounts’ holes line up perfect to the pre divit holes on each side. amzn.to/3Vjv0xT hope this helps and thanks for commenting!
@@slawdogshenanigans thank you so much. I only noticed these my last time out. 2 weeks ago! LMAO 🤣
@rob4485 lol you are very welcome! Just make sure that box is tightened down cause the added weight of the gas cans can make it come loose if the clamps are not tight! Good luck! 👍🏻💯
@@slawdogshenanigans on that note, what size are you using? 1 gal? 1.5? 2?

Hey what kind of mpg do you get out from your quad?
Not quite sure but can ride all day long 50 miles and still have plenty of gas left
