Thank you for making this video and sharing with us how to wire this together. My ground wire came off the pot on my violin, but even after soldering it back on it was still stuck at full volume. I soldered the ground many times over to the pot and still max volume. Did it so many times I just had to cut the wires because the piezo cable began to fail a few mm behind the sleeve. I’m buying a new alpha pot and following your guide now!
Great question. I find it provides a less strangled sound. I feel that squashing the piezo between the neck tenon and box top reduces the amount of vibration. It’s more alive when I glue it under the neck. Could just be me though:)

Why have you put the pick up under the neck and not on the top under the bridge.
