- Clipper Blades Not Moving But Andis Masters Hair Clipper Running smoothly? - Try This!! In this tutorial, I will show you an easy fix to a problem of the hair clipper motor running smoothly but the clipper blade not moving whatsoever on the Andis Fade Master. This method will work just the same with the Andis Masters.
The problem is that the motor is sounding just as normal but the blades are not cutting or moving. What you will need to do is use a small, flathead screwdriver and insert it into the side of the clipper, where you can adjust the blade position, and swing the blade back into place from far to the right, back to the center. Line up the first tooth of the cutting blade with the first tooth of the comb blade. Once the cutting blade is lined up properly then the device should work fine. If the equipment still is not working as intended then you may need to send the device off to the manufacturer for a more serious issue.
Be sure to keep an eye on the blade, don’t just twist the screw blindly as you will may not move the blade into its proper position for cutting. If you don’t look at the blade while adjusting then the blade could be anywhere.

Larry,
Thank you for posting this video. You correctly diagnosed and fixed the problem I had with my Andis Master Clippers. I had my Andis Master Clippers for over 10 years without any issues or complaints. After many years, I thought My Clippers were dead. Again, Thank You.
Thanks mate, made me look like a genius fixing my missus’ balding clippers.. legend
Really good video! I browsed around for a couple days watching over 20 videos that didn’t help. Yours did the trick.. THANK YOU!
Thank you!! I bought brand new clippers and they didn't work. Your fix solved the problem!
Omg Thank You for posting this!!! Like so many others, I was about to toss this thing until I watched this video. BRILLIANT!!! Thank you so much!!

Thank you! I was about to send it in for repairs
Thank you! I dropped my unit into the sink and was considering trashing it because I thought the blade holder had been damaged, but a fraction of a turn of that screw made it run perfectly.
cool!!
Thank you!!! - Fixed the problem I had with my Andis Master
You’re a life saver bro. My clipper wasn’t working since last year. And im abt to send this to Illinois to get fixed, actually its already in the 📦 box. Since its my day off i have so much time to waste and I checked YT for help. Voila! your video is the 4th vid that i watched and really helped me. And the funny thing is, to be able to check if my clipper was working again, i tried it on my mustache. Haha and it worked. Thank you man! 🙏🏽
Your welcome brother
i thought my andis master was done for until i saw your video. Thanks larry this really helped alot!! saved me from buying another clipper!!
I had the same problem, now resolved, thanks to you.
I was at wit's end trying to solve this problem. First I watched your video on how to do a tune up but that failed to fix the problem. I was thinking about either buying a new set or having them boxed up and sent out for repair and then I came across this video and viola...the clippers are now working like brand new. I never realized the power switch controls the blade alignment. Thank you so much for your great videos on taking the mystery out of maintaining your clippers.
You just saved the day! My husband took his clippers apart to clean them and then they stopped working. Thank you so much :)
this was brilliant, exactly what i was looking for, thank you for this, clippers are now working perfectly after that tiny screw adjustment
Thanks a million! After spending the money to get a good quality clipper I was sad, several months later, when it wasn't cutting correctly. Your video was perfect and it's good to go now. Thanks again!

Hi Larry, wondering if you could help. I just bought a clipper to use for me son and the blade is as blunt as a wood, and doesn't vibrate/move. Do you reckon I've been sold a lemon or is it normal because it's new? I don't have any sharpening tool, so I am a little frustrated that I can't do nothing with the clipper :(
Larry J B what clipper is it and where in the world are you ?
@@larrythebarberman England, Larry. It's a rather unknown brand called VGR Navigator lol
Well that’s where things get complicated - the clipper is unknown, so I can not advise - you really need branded or professional clippers for the results or solution to common issues - sorry
@@larrythebarberman Well tough luck to me then. Thanks for replying though.
need one for ANDIS T-outliner same problem but a t outliner does not have that adjuster on the side.
Hi I have a cordless andis machine and the cutting blade keeps sliding to the right and not lining up properly how can I fix this problem??
i just did screw clockwise but then sound gets louder and the screw wont turn anymore what should i do?
I wanted to cut my beard but the clipper wasn't cutting so I took it to the guy that cuts my hair hoping that he would know how to fix it, but again he couldn't. So, I decided to go on RUclips and voila PROBLEM solved. Thank you very much
You welcome
I followed your instructions and my blade is still not moving. Could it be the tension?
Give me a fuller description of what you did and why and what the exact state of the clipper - is the motor running, etc - I will help you blind so I need full details
I have the old masters and I wanted to know if any replacement blades for them would fit? thanks in advance..
Johnnie Dolla Yeah they will. Which ones do you have? I have the 1932 masters
Lol not that old,but mine got flat head screws instead of star screws that y I asked, but I say earlier 90s, and ty.
thank you soo man much it worked!!
I have to constantly keep doing this after zero gapping my clippers, what could it be?
I accidentally adjusted the screw with two tiny holes beside the power adjustment screw, and I don't know whether it is in the best position, How do I adjust that?
the position of the blade is in the middle though...
I think mine is broken. It does not make a loud noise anymore and when I turn it clockwise, it does get a little louder but if I do it too much, it gets quiet again. Help.
I tried that way to follow these tips but it doesn’t work, motor is working fine
Mazhar Khatri I am limited with the advice I can give without seeing the item
Larry The Barberman what are the maximum option through which might I can update / fix my Andis trimmer
I have fix the issue with the help of my cousin, thanks for your prompt respond
What if your motor is barely running
Then throw it inside the garbage can.
