You could not have made a better choice than LTV. We owned a more expensive Airstream Interstate we hated and happily traded it on an LTV rear TB we loved! You did not buy a “camper van.” You bought a small C class that does everything better than the behemoths. Please, when you back up to park, one of you should stand outside and carefully watch for obstructions. Join the LTV local groups and get to know the fellow travelers. Enjoy. You will soon be able to drive it with the nimbleness of a large SUV. We cruised at 70 MPH and we’re so comfortable driving. You made a fabulous decision and you two are absolutely, positively adorable. Oh, your dog is also terrific. We sold our Unity when the first grandkids arrived (we are such a cliche) and went on cruise ships. Now we are in the market for a Wonder.
@@sueswister9135 Officially, per the RVIA, a Class C. They don't have a B+ category. It's just a marketing term dreamed up by the manufacturers. Anything not built inside the shell of an automotive manufacturer's original van shell is a Class C or a Class A.
You guys did great.Congratulation on your new Moto Home. Its was great to go along with you on your journey.Have fun keep the videos coming so we can see how you are doing.
You’re so sweet to invite us to this big moment!! Enjoyed every delightful moment, hoping you be veterans as you leave Taho and get a couple of miles under you belts. Also glad you are not fussers and appear to enjoy this momentous journey. Here’s to ya!🍷
You two are adorable!! The dog is definitely gonna love the bed. You may have to fight him for it! My Unity won't be ready until March, but it was fun watching you both take it out for the first time. Cheers!!
Awwwww... Thank you for filming this and congrats on the Wonder!!! I'll be doing the same routine in Mar/April in the Portland area for a 2021 Wonder FTB. Hope my Sunny takes to the RV the way yours did. Very cute! Happy trails!
Congratulations! So much fun to watch your big day and your excitement! We just bought our first RV 4 years ago and it's been absolutely wonderful. We've made so many memories that we could not have possibly made any other way than with an RV. Just wish we had done it earlier like you two and not waited till retirement age. Have a wonderful time with your new Dream Chaser!
I enjoyed your video of your maiden voyage. Thank you for sharing. Incidentally, I am a R.R. o'holic as well as a big fan of small sized R.V.'s. My beloved R.R. boy passed away from lymphoma this year and I'm grieving for him, especially when a picture pops up. Your Regan (spelling?) looks like such a nice girl. How many feet is your rig?Happy travels to you three!
This is awesome! Being the "newbies" that you are, you had us laughing throughout! Can't wait to see your adventures and learning curve along the way! Thanks for the videos! ♥️♥️♥️ Good luck out there!
WOW! I am super excited for all three of you! Congratulations on your new home! CHEERS! I will also be white knuckling it on my first drive once I pick up my Wonder. Until then I will share in your excitement.
You will find lots of things that you forgot or didn’t realize you needed or didn’t realize you didn’t need. Welcome to the process! (Do you have a surge suppressor? Pricier vehicles usually use them because the power out campgrounds can be so bad that he could blow out your entire RV system.) We bought our first little pop-up trailer in 2015 from the same Camping World - and our Class B from LaMesa! So all of your drive was very familiar. We are in Walnut Creek and now have a Travato. But just before Covid hit. Still waiting to go somewhere. All these months… it sat during lockdown and we didn’t realize that it had a dead fridge until we went to go somewhere when the Gov said we could venture out a bit. And...dead fridge! So it sits in the shop waiting for a new one to be delivered from Canada. Be aware that things are always breaking on them and the construction of any of them is shoddy at best. And most RV service centers suck. But what did you get? I don’t recognize the floor plan. It looks a little longer than ours, and oh is it spacious inside! Light and bright. Oh, someone mentioned Leisure. Nice storage and space, but we’re happy to be more nimble so far. In future, tho, that may change...
Very cool video! Same here I’m from South Bay I drive a rental 3 weeks ago to pick up my class b at a dealer in Pismo beach looks you have b+ or c class for nice and roomy I just drove to Tahoe last weekend it was like 7 hrs from south at with 2 stops because highway 50 was closed for construction had to take a longer route thanks for sharing the video!!!
Congratulations. You have so much to learn, and much of it may come from mistakes, but you will survive. I am going to subscribe so I can follow and maybe give you tips after 30 years of RVing experience. I do like your floorplan. Good luck.
Congrats to you both, this is a priceless video that you'll be able to re-live...The nervousness, the panic, being uncomfortable...That will pass very soon! For perspective, my 1st RV which which I purchased at the beginning of 2020 (before COVID) was a 36 foot class A --- it's so funny to hear you say, the van is "massive" lol...Great video, enjoy and you're right....Things will happen, things will break, there will be highs and lows....Also your wardrobe choices change as you "camp" more...No more button down shirts! I finally feel like I've moved out of the "newbie" category...LMK if you have any questions on RV life, happy to assist!
We did the same thing last week! Rented a car and drove 7 hours to Memphis, picked up our RV and ran around turning in the rental car. ALL worth it!!!! Loaded up the rental with everything we “needed” for our motorhome as we stayed in it for 5 nights. We had to get a Dodge Caravan for everything we needed. LOL
Your puppy doing really well in this new environment. I love leisure vans, would love to get one but the driving makes me nervous! You handled like a pro.
Great choice! We liked the FTB because it was larger space for our dog. Really bright and open "living area". We didn't need a bed during the day so it works really well.
I saw someone buy a leisure travel van and it came with the 30 to 50 amp adapter . It was in the storage compartment. Hope it comes with one when I buy one .
Pretty gutsy taking a new RV on the road day 1 but I guess that's what you have to do to "Make it happen". It's recommended to backyard camp first but where's the adventure in that? The interior noise didn't seem that bad. You'll grow to love that view from Ford Chassis. I rented a Ford Transit Van for 2000 miles and it was one of the best driving experiences I've ever had. New subscriber, looking forward to watching your journeys.
Thank you for sharing the first-drive experience. We are interested in the LTVs on the Ford chassis. When you said you would be extra-cautious driving it, I turned to Sharon and said, “Yep! That will be me too.” We just subscribed to follow your journey. We don’t have a dog. Our furry friend is #BinxTheCampingCat (over on Instagram). Wishing you happy and safe travels! ~ Randy, Sharon and Binx
So glad I found this video! I’m getting ready to talk to a dealer about getting this same model. I love the spacious feel, although it will just be myself and my cat and dog. Can’t believe I’m really doing this but so excited. Will be following along to get tips!
You are going to love it! Perfect size for your family and it will still let you get into all the national parks and will be easy parking just for you.
Hi . I want the unity 2021. I spoke to travel lesiour in the east coast, my model is 18-24months wait if I place an order on 12-13-2020. What is that all about? Export to Vietnam and the import them in.
Nice video, take the subscription. I think you’re going to regret the floor plan though. You’re not going to want to make the beds every night. Was there a reason you didn’t choose an alternative LTV, like the Murphy bed or rear lounge?
Hey! We didn't want any slide outs so that automatically made the wonder the top choice. With a 75 pound dog we really wanted as open a floor plan as possible so we could all move around in the space. The RTB was a little too broken up for us and we liked the FTB with all the action being in the same area. Right now it is a mix of taking a few minutes to pull the beds together or keeping them apart so our dog has the floor to sleep on in the middle. We have really loved the floor plan so far :)
I really enjoyed your video. I am looking for a RV from this manufacturer too. I like the Unity with rear twin bed. I am wondering how much discount you got from the LTV.
This was really fun. We’re dreaming of the day when we’ll be going to pick up our LTV some day and your adventure really felt close to home with all of the anxiety and excitement. Thank you for taking us along.
Congratulations on your new adventure..."You're doin' it!". Got a question for you--What color interior did you choose? It looks like Fog but it is hard to tell if it is a shade of grey, white, or maybe a light tan..
Thanks!! Leather is Fog Exterior is Denim Cabinets are Natural Rift Counter is Antarctica If I am not mistaken, they switched things up a little bit for 2021 if you are ordering brand new. We were worried the cabinets were going to be a little too Orange but they aren't. One consideration with Fog is just that it looks amazing brand new but you have to be diligent about keeping it clean otherwise the white starts to fade.
No. We get a ton of snow. Be prepared and always carry chains in the winter. Too many accidents from people who think they know how to drive in the snow in a 2 wheel drive vehicle.
You are going to need a pair of walk-in talkies so one person can stand out back and help backing in to make sure you aren’t hitting anything... and watching out for overhead tree branches, rocks, stumps, etc that don’t show up on the back up camera.
The rental place would have dropped you off at the RV dealership if it was close by they will also take you home if you ask when you return the rental vehicle
It comes with a drape for the front and then we bought some reflecttix (super cheap on amazon) and cut it to shape for the front windows. Keeps out all the heat.

Great video. How have you liked the Ford Transit chassis? Do you mind sharing your mpg with it?
Hope all is well with you lovely couple. Haven't see any posts from you two for months. Write often please. Be safe out there.

Excited to watch your journey . i am planning on doing the same later on.
Seriously considering an LTV! Congrats you two! 🙌
👍 I’m amazed that the dealership didn’t show you how everything works before letting you take off with it.
Enjoy...Thank you for the video...Have a blessed day..

LOL, love LTVs. Thought I would check out the video. What a cute couple. Great video! Just hit subscribe!
haha yay!! Thank you :) We are trying to get a few more videos made and out. Lots has been filmed.
Very exciting. Just a suggestion that when parking have the other person outside on driver side back corner to guide LTV into space.
Yes great advice. We actually bought walkie talkies to use since then. They have been great.
Make It Happen Walkie talkie? 😄 no cell phones? So funny
love the light wood
As you travel please let us know what it cost for gas and the price of your stay overnight. I would like to get one.
So now we're more than 15 minutes into this video and we still don't know what kind of "camper van" this is...make? model? year? length? etc., etc.
11:00 What a great idea for Tent dwellers! (look past the drivers window).

Thanks! We are excited to share more. You are going to love when you get yours.
Congratulations on that beautiful LTV 😍
Just watched dean showing the new 2021
Dean is the man. We emailed LTV for a question about the rig and who replied? The man himself.
You guys are great! I’m shocked at the low subscriber count. Easy follow!
Aw thanks Mike.
I have a trailer but I do want to upgrade to a wonder van. Thanks
We have ours on order and can’t wait ! I got emotional watching you two toast to your first adventure in it. 🥺😂. What model is this Wonder FTB ?
Congratulations on your new adventure..."You're doin' it!". Got a question for you--What color interior did you choose? It looks like Fog but it is hard to tell if it is a shade of grey, white, or maybe a light tan..

What rv place did you buy the ltv at in sacramento?
Very nice!
Congratulations!! Are you going to RV fulltime or is this weekends and vacations only? Pretty fancy ride for weekends only.
No license??
hello :)where did you got your motor home?
New to your channel love the RV. Im ISO class B or C myself with 2 rescue kitties by February. Looks like they raised all prices for covid so sad...
great, have fun
Did you guys promote the video? Just asking because we are going trying putting out a video.
I wonder if you can go Lake Tahoe, CA during winter time without having to have the chains on your tires.
No. We get a ton of snow. Be prepared and always carry chains in the winter. Too many accidents from people who think they know how to drive in the snow in a 2 wheel drive vehicle.
Why would you want a front bedroom thar you have to put away daily?
Please get out and help him back up, walkie talkies are a must. The RV salesman should of told you rule one ( never back up without help )
Yes! Don't worry we do that every time now. That first time it was a really really massive spot. But that is solid advice.
You guys are so cute
Did they register and give you a plate?
You are going to need a pair of walk-in talkies so one person can stand out back and help backing in to make sure you aren’t hitting anything... and watching out for overhead tree branches, rocks, stumps, etc that don’t show up on the back up camera.
A penny saved is a penny towards my invisible RV
and you dont have a driver licencse?
The rental place would have dropped you off at the RV dealership if it was close by they will also take you home if you ask when you return the rental vehicle
Did you get privacy shades & curtains?
It comes with a drape for the front and then we bought some reflecttix (super cheap on amazon) and cut it to shape for the front windows. Keeps out all the heat.
Careful with reflex insulation it can cause window cracking with excess heat

Why would you NOT have a license? I’m sure there’s a reason, just have never known a traveling couple with only one person who drives. 🚐 wishing you beautiful experiences and a grand life. 😀😃😄😁😊😉
There are plenty of RV couples where the wives don't know how to or won't drive, especially in a big rig.

Great Attitude ! It’s just fun?
The fan has a rain sensir😉
“ No License “ ?? Please explain.it seems like a Lot of responsibility to always be the driver.
MATTHEW CLARK I’m familiar with their location as I live near there. More than likely they are taking public transportation and live in if not around San Francisco so no car necessary. Rhodesian Ridgeback!
Yes! A really awesome adventure dog breed.
Dogbone it’s called.

Why wear masks in the car!? Lol
COVID-19 scared
Wearing masks inside vehicule??
haha yeah. So the opening scene car getting to the RV dealer was't ours, it was a rental so we were a little extra cautious to start. We are in California where the numbers aren't great. Just a habit at this point if you see us wearing other times.
@@makeithappen7641 Fair enough👌😁
You two put me to sleep.

camping world, biggggg mistake.....
Total whimp!
Be careful with that mask rash. Not healthy
