This is not "Ръченик" because it is not Bulgarian. You see this dance (Syrtos Sygathistos) in Thrace, Greece. It's not even in 7/8 ("Ръченик" is in 7/8). It's in 9/8 (4+2+3). Even the language of the song is Greek. You have every right to enjoy the song and the dance but be respectful to other cultures.

Every dance between a Bulgarian woman and a Bulgarian man is Rachenik. Rachenik is called because of the scarf on the head of the dancing Bulgarian woman. Rachenik can be played in 7/16, 3/4, 7/8, 9/8 and other Bulgarian irregular time signatures. About the Greeks: Herodotus 5th century BC - Danaus brought them (the Danaans) from Egypt (Libya). Their clothes are African.

@@tanpar8805 Your comment on the name of the dance is irrelevant, as well as explaining the rythmik part of Rachenik. I just told you that what you see and hear in this video, is not Bulgarian. The fact that both cultures have similarities in their music and dressings and dances ,does not mean that you can label a dance a Bulgarian name. The one that you see in the video is danced within greek borders, so giving it a Bulgarian name is noncence.

@@tanpar8805 Before you talk you have to read how the things are from historical aspect. Bulgarian are slavic from center asia with a turkish altic language. You came in the 6th century in the place you are today without eastern rumelia which is greek and you uprooted greeks in 1885 let me tell you that from the time you came (Bulgarians) in the place you are today you assimilated Θράκες/ Thraces which where used to leave there before you. Also eastern rumelia is a part from Θράκη/ Thrace so that’s why we have lot of similarities in the dances not because they’re Bulgarian or acfrican or whatever you say but just because we are neighbours and you have taken a lot of dances and rythms from us:)) Im not saying things from my head I read a lot about history as you have to do as well❤
