    Mind boggling re-engineering. What dedication and total commitment can achieve. Watching every meter of progress in amazement from Aotearoa New Zealand.

    Wow the work is simply outstanding, the canal is going to look so good when completed. It’s interesting that the railway which wouldn’t have helped the canals survival has its self become derelict, imagine having a heritage steam line running next to the canal. Regards

    Looking very good now, how long before it can be re-watered?.

      It's difficult to say. We can only add water to sections which can be properly contained; this will usually be between locks where we can add stop planks. We try to add water as soon as we can but it is not always possible for every section.

      I’m pleased about that. At one time royalty free music was rubbish but thanks to RUclips and Facebook some excellent musicians have made their work available for free. Thanks to them!

    For anyone who does not live locally, an image of a plan view of this section overlaid intermittently would help orientation. Also, the timescales envisaged for completion of each lock / pound would be interesting.

    Is there a way to find out when you fill up a section of canal ive always wanted to seeone fill up from empty especially being how long it's been dry

    • @LHCRT
      @LHCRT  3 года назад +2

      If it's a small section we'd generally let the rain fill it up. We haven't been able to fill many sections yet as we haven't got many self-contained sections. Your best bet is to follow us on Twitter or Facebook as we give regular updates.

    Another Question: does this strip of land: www.google.com/maps/@52.6465228,-1.9968108,91m/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en have anything to do with the Hatherton Arm? Or will it be a road?

    • @LHCRT
      @LHCRT  3 года назад

      I'm not sure what that is (sorry!) but it's nothing that we're doing.

      @@LHCRT Ok, thanks for your answer, I just hope this will not conflict with the future development of your canal!
