Not that it matters much since the piece is not visible, the galvanized seat pan is not original. The originals were made of round hole perforated metal. I recently took my seats apart on the old A and the pans fell apart. I didn't have any perforated metal on hand and did not want to buy new material so I made mine out of the side of a washing machine, then drilled 1/4 in holes at one inch spacing on the bottom.
I intended that too (drilling holes) before I painted the things, but I'm running out of free time (work responsibilities) and want to keep forward momentum on the work. I'm trying to finish before the end of July (originally the end of June)...
