Literally just booked my flight, shuttle, and hostel after watching this video. Great deal on Ikon and surprisingly affordable transport and lodging. Early March seems to be the best bet for snow and daylight.
Theres not a lot of apres ski options but Girdwood brewing, double musky and jack sprat are all fantastic. And the hotel bars are better than their equivalents in the lower 48.
Favorite place for me to go boarding but I’m from Hawaii top tip if you fly Alaska airlines and go skiing the same day as arriving you get a free lift ticket when showing your boarding pass
Hi PeakRankings, can you review Ski Arlberg in Austria? It has the best snow in Europe and better snow than the vast majority of destination North American ski resorts, and has some of the best off-piste in the world.
that's incorect. the top 100 ski resorts in north america have higher snow totals than St. Anton am Arlberg. Even Stowe which is in the east coast has a higher snow total. If going by snow quality it also loses, european snow is comparable to east coast or tahoe. which all rocky destinations beat.
Seeing how a nice Michigan resort is over $100 for a lift ticket and now the lower Michigan hills are charging $70 for a day! That being said, these ticket prices look great! Also to be fair, most lower Michigan hills were only open a couple weeks last year so I'm just happy that they're still open!!
question for anyone in the know. ima seasonal winter employee and ive worked 2 years so far. first at northstar in tahoe. and this year im at steamboat springs. I love your videos and I try to use them to gauge what resorts sound good to work at. but does anyone have some good recommendations.
They've had a written review on their website for a long time now. They've got a massive backlog of reviews waiting for videos, and they're still missing most of the interior of BC, and western Alberta. I wouldn't get your hopes up too much for a video within the next few months, but who knows?
I love How SRG is a patron, as if he isn't a beast of a skituber himself. Community support is nice to see.
FINALLY MY RESORT
Yep!

It’ll be a blast!
Great Review! You hit all the highlights and didn't sugar coat the highly variable WX/snow and limited terrain options.

Might not be the the largest ski resort but it is one of the steepest overall ski resorts in the world.
Unfortunately, snow levels have been WAY down this year.
Yeah, but that was melting, hoping for more later now that its cold enough

I’ve never been here this early

Finally!!! Justice for Girdwood :)))

They have, but haven’t made a video
You’re not exaggerating, those inlet views really are breathtaking!

Hoping to get a video out soon! We got some footage last season, and trying to figure out if it's enough to stitch a full review together.

Alyeska isn’t that great of a mountain.
Alyeska is not really for beginners.
will you guys ever do a sun peaks bc video review?
Yep! We'd been waiting on West Bowl to open, but hoping to get one up either later this winter or early next!
