Honestly the best way especially for the 300c awd. You can do it from the top, my best time was 9 hours. Had to remove the front diff off the side of the pan, pain in the ass. Took me 2 hours to drop it out of the bottom my first time.
I am wondering if I could drop an engine/transmission out of a Honda Fit with my 27" high jack stands. There might be enough clearance. I think if you wanted to refurbish by changing everything that could reasonably be replaced, it would be easier to take it apart the way the manufacturer put it together.
So i want to install long tube headers and heard somewhere might be easier to slightly drop the subframe. Have not found anyone on here that has done it whats your opinion.
