Follow the original Left 4 Dead cast at the end of their first week since the first infection.
I've always wanted to animate how the four survivors originally met each other! This has been a favorite project of mine that I'm really excited to continue to work on and release someday, alongside the rest of the original L4D campaigns. Hopefully, you can bear longer a bit longer of a wait for No Mercy c:

This better be a prequel, because I would love to see how this bind and this infection started.
Damn, the animation is well done and the premise of how the four survivors originally met each other is something that i always wanted to see (even one time i thinked about writing a script about that idea)

I love you use the l4d1 common infected overhaul mod model instead of the generic retail design

Thank you!!! Tips would be to know it's going to be a lot of trial and error, looking up tutorials on all the useful functions of SFM, and just staying motivated to keep animating the next scene because I know for me I run out of steam after finishing one scene :P
Also me personally I love adding small details that just make an animation feel more alive

Question: How did you add the gore/decapitate the arm to the female zombie at 0:49?
Turns out, the L4D2 gore shaders are in the models on SFM :P

This has the whole explanation on what certain codes do, it's a lot of playing around with the ellipsoid cuts for infected!
$debugellipsoids 1 enables the gore function, but that's just the start and honestly I don't even remember where to begin, sorry :c
EDIT: Sidenote! These will only work for the L4D2 infected at first, I recommend downloading the L4D1 Common Infected Overhaul by Skessler on the L4D2 workshop and importing them to SFM if you intend to use L4D1 infected with gore and added bonus their eyes also automatically light up like the L4D2 retail infected c:

Looks pretty awesome, though how do you plan to keep the infected attacks interesting with only common infected? Or will it deviate from the canon story and just use Special Infected?
Hi JAiZ!! It won't be too long of an animation like No Mercy, but it will introduce stuff like pipe bombs and how each survivor deals with a horde, and how they deal with it together and in pairs. More of a character-building animation with action set pieces. Oh and no specials until No Mercy (:
EDIT: Also! The horde will attack in different locations all depending on noise :P

They're the Overhauled Common Infecteds from the L4D2 workshop, I just ported them over to SFM
