- Third flight series on th F14 Tomcat. Turned out to be one flight due to attempted crosswind land and crash. Video of the repair in the "Lair" ( as Part Timer calls it ) of the wing and vertical stab.
Hi Mark I like it when it is a easy repair good video ☺✈✈👍👍
Thanks 👍, They usually aren't this easy after a landing like that!
God, I hate those bouncy bounce landings. It looked like a windless day too from the video.
Had a crosswind on landing, not the reason for the bounce, but certainly helped flipping it over!
Nice flying. One wrong gust. Glad it's an easy fix. I redid the top cover so it now attaches with magnets like the bottom cover. As Eflite should've done. It's a lot faster to fix the occasional pop outs. 😉
Cool, thanks. Do you have any pictures of your mod?
Did you ever own the eflite f-15 64mm?
It was the second EDF I ever owned. Just finshed repairing it the other night after sitting in the basement since spring waiting for me to find time to repair. Hoping weather is good enough to fly this weekend, stay tuned......
I don't have this jet but looking to get it. My guess is that there will need to be two completely different rates for SAFE and for AS3X flying with this one.@@MarksAultimateRC
I always set up High, med, and low rates. It's beneficial on this plane because the roll rate is pretty impressive. Weather here this weekend is unfortunately crap, so hoping to fly next weekend and get a video on the channel shortly after.
I watched Abby of RcSaylors flying this with SAFE on and was amazed at how quick she got it up off pavement. Am I correct in thinking that they moved the elevator and nose wheel linkage positions from the factory settings to give it the max throws? In addition, they might have put it on max elevator rates(125%).@@MarksAultimateRC
Likely, this takes some runway getting it off the ground. I have not adjusted mine other than expo for the elevator.
