Recently a brazilian company named Tec Toy announced they'll release a new mini PC named Zeenix. It just so happens that that mini PC is basically the AYN Loki Max. Maybe they got a licensing agreement and that might be the reason the original model was discontinued.
They dont stock it cause they made a new partnership with a company here called TECTOY. They relaunched this with the name ZEENIX, a “Brand new” brazilian console
I did like mine but I honestly never used it. I felt like it was a weird size, not quite big enough to replace my steam deck and not quite small enough to be more travel friendly.
I had a Loki Max for awhile and loved it. Even after having had a Steamdeck, Z1 and a Z1 Extreme Ally, I loved the Loki. I appreciated the smaller size and pretty comparable battery life. I also thought the controls were top tier along with a great screen. I just could not get past the Loki Control Center. I struggled daily with the TDP gauge. I also thought it was weird that you had to page over to the rest of the LCC instead of maybe using a scrolling functionality. I would be willing to give AYN another shot if they wanted to try for another Windows device.
Lexar Play 1TB drives always go on sale on Amazon for below $70 which might be a viable option for storage. I’ve been using mine for a year with no issues
No issues with the sleep function? My Loki Max won't wake from sleep. Screen won't turn on but can hear fans spin up and RGB defaults back to rainbow. Only thing I can do from here is L1+R1 combo to feel the vibration or hard restart by holding power button. Tried Win11 fresh install and even installed Bazzite on a new SSD.
Having the AYN Loki Max in White, I love it but the triggers is just...there is just too much of a deadzone so I really wish that could be sorted otherwise I'd use it more.
I will say this. The Ayn Loki or any handheld isn't anywhere near gaming laptops in terms of gaming. Gaming laptops are all significantly faster. These handhelds use ultrabook chips so like stuff found in those thin and light laptops. Overall it's a great review of it
Laptops are significantly bigger as well so there's more room for better hardware, bigger battery and cooling. The technology is just not there yet where we can have all the raw power from a gaming laptop squeezed into something the size of a steam deck without running into major issues (overheating, battery lasting 30 minutes, device being too heavy etc)
I see your problem. You have an LCD Deck and not an OLED. That's a game changer. Fr tho, every handheld or game device has its use case and demographic, appealing to some more than others. I personally love my OLED Deck more than any other device I've ever owned, and it really makes me not even want to touch any other device aside from maybe a more pocketable emulation device. Psyched to see what the future holds in the handheld industry!
Personally I believe that while the OLED deck is absolutely amazing and it does improve the quality of your gameplay a lot, I can't feel that it's that much of a game changer. I think it's because I own an OLED TV and a ps5 so all I care about is being able to have decent gameplay while I'm not at home, since the screen is tiny anyways so most of the details and image quality are being lost. All I want is high framerate, convenience and portability really, so there's a lot of people out there like me who wouldn't think twice regarding paying less for a LCD screen while leaving image quality for when they're relaxing in front of their main TV/Monitor.

I am mad that Ayn don't stock the Ayn Loki products anymore and it made me distrust them as they don't seem to care about their own customers at all🤨

I wish I could actually buy one, can't find them for sale anywhere
There's eBay. The Max is going for at least $525.

can i buy that from u? lol
I’m glad I was able to grab a Loki before they went out of stock. I missed out on the max and got the regular Loki just in time.

I would try some PS3 emulation like Sly or Skate on your Loki 🔥

They never fixed the trigger issue for retail units?
@@tonyrosario1940 Nope
Better than the steamdeck?
That Helldivers thumbnail aged like milk
