I'm not "dreading" the installation of the top on my coupe as much as I was, after watching your install. Many thanks for taking the time to video it.

Thank you
Good job!
Looks amazing 🤩
The top installation on my '36 coupe is comming up as soon as the weather warms up. I reallyappreciate this video, as I've never installed a soft top before. I'll be watching a few more times, just to be prepared. Thanks again for the "how to" !
The roof looks great! I sure believe you about the sore hands. that nice roof will last till your 80... the pain might be back at 80 also, but all in all, worth it!
Great video, good content and I dig that patina style 👍
Really like your videos on the 36. I have a 35 slat back iam working on.
I have a 1950 Ford Prefect (English Ford) we have to do this to. Definitely not looking forward to it but this video is gonna save a lot of headaches! Thank you!
Your Part 12 is a great learning tool Unfortunately, I didn't see it before I started the insert on my '36 sedan. By trial and error I ended up following the procedure you used. I had plenty of help and it was still challenging.
Great coverage of steps....little bummed you didn't give us an inside look tho.
That will be coming with the headliner installation video!
@@jonathanwood1984 good deal thanks
Hello. Would you mind sharing the information on where you bought the vinyl for the roof? I'm having a hard time locating it. You did a great job.
Rather than having to drill holes where holes were not originally featured I'd have probably used PL Construction Adhesive. I find it a spectacular adhesive for many applications generally. Otherwise, great video content.
Well the holes are really irrelevant since they are on the inner channel, affect nothing and won’t ever be seen. Glue was considered but this tack strip is a vinyl type material that often doesn’t adhere well with glues. I also spoke with an upholstery friend with decades of experience who always rivets in these situations. He said glue won’t hold on that material. It has a very similar feel to silicon. I’m sure there’s a glue that would bond with the plastic but finding one to bond with both metal and the plastic was questionable. It just wasn’t worth the risk 👍
A narrow fan bet works great fort a tac strip .
One can us a nylon string to tie the vinyl down in the groove before putting the rubber hindem strip in
Where you buy that material for the roof please
Awesome stuff! What country you in? The Swedish flag peeked my interest.
I’m in the USA. I’ve owned several Volvos too
@@jonathanwood1984 Why the Swedish flag? I'm from sweden but live in the UK
Which kit did you order?
Odd ,I have been trying to post a comment since I watched your video, your chanell says you have 7 comments but I only see the other 2? Do you filter your comments or do they need to be approved before they show? I have a 36 slant back too.
No filtering. It’s here 👍
@@jonathanwood1984 Oh, sorry, just posted on your fb too, thx keep up the good work!
