The first time I heard the song black woman, then saw her performed at one love concert,I fell in love with her, such a beautiful, humble and gifted person, so underrated, still one of the best, respect honorable Judith mowatt
Watched Juddy Mowatt perform solo in Lagos in the mid 80s reggae sunsplash concert alongside other reggae artists headlined by KingYellowman & Fela. She gave a great performance. ❤
Judy Mowatt's Many Are Called solo hit came out around 1980 when Bob Marley was still alive and the Wailers were perhaps at their zenith as an internationally touring band. ".... many are saying peace and unity but there ain't no peace to find" Conscious vibes. What a song!
Love Freddie McGregor, so many great albums and love Judy Mowatt, her 'Black Woman' album is a gem, 'Pour Sugar On Me' is a fave of mine, from her earlier years 🎵🎼🎶💫💫
Judy Mowatt is I Favorite Female Reggae singer of the I Threes. She is So Extra Perfect Beautiful Gorgeous Lovely . She look Spiritual Devine , Conservative , Dedicative , Full of Wisdom , Knowledge , Understanding. Queen.
I was absolutely charmed by beauty when i first watched her on VHS Cassette along with the I-Three on Bob Marley's featured appearance in Reggae Sunsplash 1979. She was my Crush, my favorite female Reggae singer notably thanks to the Magnificent Black Woman and later Many Are Called.. Unfortunately the I-Three for all their reputation only had one album together (1986's Beginning) which I was fortunate to have had on cassette tape..
I agree with all the comments saying how beautiful Judy Mowatt is- a real Black woman- I didnt know it was Scratch whos idea it was for the I 3s to back Bob Marley....A real genius idea...Jah Bless.
The one dawta wid Freddie, yes, but her odda children r with the GREAT Skill Cole….one of Ja’s BEST footballer n CLOSE fren of Bob Marley….first 45record I got as a yute was her version of MELLOW MOOD….was n is still betta dan Bob’s version….have had the privilege of being on tours that she was also on , n ongle her n Rita n Marcia made me take the time to go n watch their performances….JA’s SONGBIRDS forever
I consider it one of the top ten reggae projects of all time alongside Marley's Exodus, Rastaman Vibration, Blackheartman (Bunny Wailer), Follow my mind (Jimmy Cliff), Reggae got soul (Toots), Black woman, Rock n' groove (Bunny Wailer), Legalize it (Tosh)
Wait, what? Ras Kizaro, anytime I doubt ya, immediately ya remind me of 1 a kind best friend you always are. Never be hurt by my critical thinking, saving working for Ini. I must re watch, remember me as Sri Laksmana (you know Indian history) Jah bless
@ReggaeAppreciationSociety bred I just serious like Peter when he critical pon bob. We cyant stand no one half side , our people life in danger. Serious. I don't want no peace, I need....and justice. My name forIver
So beautiful and talented. Dunno if it makes sense, since i'm no native english/patwah speaker. Instead of the I-trees, they should've been called the I, Judy & the other two😁 I'm just joking, don't throw stones at me✌️
She may be a born again Christian today but Sistah Judy Mowatt's contribution to the growth of the Rastafarian faith and its culture will never be erased from history.
Wasn’t she in a long term serious relationship with Allan Skill Cole though I think she has like 3/4 kids with him. I heard she cheated on Allan when he fled to Ethiopia for abit in the mid to late 70s.
😂😂😂😂 I wouldn't be surprised one bit...Lee Perry had been responsible for "baptizing" several Reggae artists with stage names: The DJ Dillinger, Susan Cadogan .(.to name these ones)
Here the Almighty was not in a rush for lunch when He created this black beauty. He took His time. But madam will need to address the question of “Pass it on.” Who wrote the song?
You have to admit that there is confusion amongst the Rastas as to the true and living god. I think that some of them are beginning to see the light of Christ Jesus… they love father god but believe that Selasi is their saviour. May god have mercy and patience with his sheep who are scattered and wandering all over. FAther God is the true Sheppard he has all the power.🙏🙏
There is an interview in which Judy says Rita called her while Bob was dying in Miami. She says Bob was in pain and lifted up his hand saying "Jesus take me!" Bob had finally understood the rasta faith is a lie and Jesus Christ is the only way to God and Heaven. In this interview Judy refers to Jesus as "the Lord Jesus Christ", so she is obviously christian. If only people listened… The rasta "faith" is rooted in idolatry of a mortal man, which is a huge sin that leads to hell.
Rastafari is a spirituality.. And Bob sold out and he was poisoned by Rita and ChrisBlackwell, sacrificial lamb=Jesus.. Don't believe everything you hear. JESUS was a freemason, he didn't get executed either. Got married and had kids ya know. He is an ancestor of i Yeshua Yasha Sun Zeus Issa. Goes by many titles. Christ=Anointed one. So called black man with wooly hair like Rasta. So on and so forth. They always say rastas or anybody that practices spirituality leaves it for Christianity when none of the followers kill out of the name of their God or so called father like the religions have done or always will do.. Woman is God.. Allah=Allot= Female=9 ether Madonna. And Christianity is taught in a Patriarch manner. Not dissing any religion. It's just people teach and follow blindly, which induces one be fooled by his or her senses. This is part of the matrix. And what I am telling you is even in scriptures. We were not taught to understand. Just accept or die. Definitely for mu kind ya know? We PREDATES jesus.. mu ancestors.. yall came along Zeus time, well the character jesus. 1500s to 1600s if that

Rasta is a myth, following a dead man like themselves who cannot save them, Jesus Christ is the only way
