Brahms Symphony #1 is amazing, like the other 3. I actually like the 3rd symphony the best, but they're all great! I know the the Clarinet Quintet is considered by many to be his best chamber work, but I'm not among those who do. It's beautiful but it's hardly among my favorite Brahms works. All the movements are in the same key which gives it a certain monotony, and overall it's too melancholy for my taste.
Among the 10 greatest classical composers (a private opinion, mind you), he's the one who is least appreciated. I cannot for the life of me understand this. For me, he occupies the first row of five: Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms, Mozart & Sibelius. Yes, he's ALWAYS amazing!
Yes, the audio seems to be ahead by about 2 seconds; that's what happens when the video is edited; best to just leave it as is. Still, terrific performance and spectacular sound - certainly worth adding to my MP3 library. Thank you so much!
I must be unobservant for not detecting asynchronicity between video and audio. It seemed to me precise in the storm tossed scherzo and trio so superbly performed by this trio. The whole work reveals a side of austere Brahms not seen in the contemporary B Flat piano concerto.
2600 & 28:30 - watch the cello & you can't miss it. Or just about anywherre throughout the last movement. Which makes this gorgeous performance all the more agonising!
The trio is in four movements:1 Allegro moderato 01:09 2 Andante con moto 10:34 3 Scherzo: Presto 19:05 4 Finale: Allegro giocoso 24:07
Wonderful performance! Great audio quality, which is always appreciated. Thanks for sharing!
Why Brahms is always so amazing!
And this is Brahms at his best! What a magnificent work!
Timothy Thorne What about Brahms symphony No. 1 or clarinet quintett

Thanks for the great upload! Is there any chance you could re-upload it with the audio and video in sync?
very fine performance(!).

For some reasons, the audio is not synced with the video. It looks like the audio and video are of different works.
Music starts at 1:09
Well, the violinist is awesome!
What a pity for sound out sincronyzed
Sometimes that pianist looks positively villainous and I love it.
The audio is ahead of the video ;-;
problèmes d'enregistrement ou problème de ????
どこかで見たことあると思ったら、なんだポール・マッカトニーか。
Off sync sound lol
Chrisrtian is wonderful....pianist constipated, cellist mediocre but i guess she plays because she is the sister....
